IM A RANGERS FAN BUT EVEN THOUGH WE LOST I KNEW I HAD JUST WITNESSED DA BEST BASEBALL GAME OF MY LIFE ILERALLY COULDY BREATHE! ILL HAND IT TO DA CARDINALS THOUGH.
Awesome seeing Berkman be clutch in the postseason again...Im an Astros fan and loved seeing A) Berkman winning and B) the Rangers losing...if anyone is gonna bring a World Series title to the state of Texas, its gonna be Houston...im prepared to wait as long as it takes, but the Astros will do it before the Rangers..so St. Louis, congrats on the win.
Everybody had written off Berkman after 2010 except St Louis. The Cards remembered that he had a great year in 2008, needed to sit out more than 60 games to recover from injuries in his last two years with Houston, hit over 300 for NY in last year's playoffs, and had 12 RBI and a 400 OBP when the Astros faced the Cards in 2004 and 2005 NLCS. This guy is a bigtime postseason performer.
I am a 41 year old Orioles fan back East, so I had nothing on either team. Still when this game was done, I woke up my wife and told her I had just watched the best baseball game of my life.
@thegools At least your team played some major spoiler knocking out those Red Sox. September 28 and October 27 were two of the most exciting baseball days I have ever experienced.
@thegools : Absolutely! At the end of this game, I said to myself..."this is the greatest game I've ever seen"
Right now, I'm lucky to be a Cardinals fan. The end of this season was a just a huge rollercoaster ride...amazing....
BTW, I actually was up in Baltimore this summer -- went to a game at Camden w/ my kids and dad...great fun...really nice park the Orioles have there...
@jazzguitar2010 : hey man, they were going for more than that, if you can believe it...i was at game 1 & 2, $400 bucks a pop and i was in the outfield...
so cool as a astros fan big puma is perfect for the cards. he has always been clutch ALWAYS! sad with yanks he was hurt when we traded him we knew that

I'm not a real baseball fan, but I would have paid $200 for a ticket to be at that game.
