The key is that the actual story of mormons was explained in All American Prophet and then in Making Things up again one of the characters has to make up lines from the book on the fly to make them more relevant and prevent medicinal pedophilia. Naturally this causes the villagers to get the entire story mixed up, this is the result. If they wanted to straight up insult the faith trust me they can easily do worse.

I don't know about the frog or someone getting a clit on their face. Its still aint as bad as telling people if they masterbate, they will loose their vision. Missions have been known to go bad from time to time. bad priesthood concepts and bad beliefs. its ideal here.
