Eclipse Concept Jet Landing at AirVenture 2007

It's a beautiful little jet, would have become iconic. Like a Jet Bonanza. Too bad the butterfly tail causes so much pitch induced oscillation. Should have gone with a DC-10 tail configuration or perhaps F-18 twin tail. The engine location is perfect for reducing the chance of bird ingestion.

This aircraft is marketable and would have worked.

This is unique cos it must be the most tiny jet around.

But id rather any other jet. Phenom, E500, honda, whatever. This looks like a toy.

Horrible landing... to give the pilot benefit of the doubt, i wonder if its because the heavy jet engine at the rear that makes it seem arse-end heavy and hard to land?

Gorgeous little plane, but a horribly bouncy approach. Wouldn't you expect a better pilot to show off a pretty light jet?

PLEASE put it into production! the ECJ is such a cool plane.....i can see it jumping into the Bonanza type niche, only cooler (not that the Bonanza isnt cool...it is, very)....i swear that if i got the money i would buy one....

also, consider this an open invitation to bring it to KOXD
