i have the same laptop, but with big differences

mine has a C2D 5900 @ 2.2

geforce 9600m 512MB

320HDD

4GB DDR3

besides from that, everything else is the same, and o get 5.2 out of WEI

being bottlenecked with the HDD, processor and GAMING graphics go 6.3 and 5.7 respectively, its a monster laptop but how come mine has better scoring with inferior specs??

and yes guys, it plays crysis just fine in the mid-high specs

Acer support sucks just so that is made clear, if youget a problem there is no way on earth that you wont send it back twice and wait like 1 month. they fixed 1/3 of what they should and they replace the 320gb with 280gb x) wtf is that!!! acer are hilarious!

My 8930G has the 9700m GT card but has a habit of shutting off evet time I try to play a graphics intense game after 10 mins, I take it to be an overheating problem. Acer support were useless when I tried to resolve this with them.

yep the battery is removable but it has advanced power saving mumbo jumbo so even playing quite demanding games on the move you get about 1-1 and a half hours play time.

Great laptop but it will start overheating. Got it last christmas and it overheats regularly. EVerything starts to lag, FPS goes down, this lasts for minute or two then evens out. Comes back eventually though

only in warm countries...and its not technically overheating just a throttle when it reaches 60c which is pretty fuckin good for a laptop at full load

I had an "Acer aspire 7720z" -which broke. I now possess the Acer Aspire 8930G Laptop - LX.AT10X.002. which i like bigtime lol. im not sure on the "bit thing" or how to check it. but it kicks ass anyway. theres not a great deal of spec difference between the one u have and the one I have. I figured seeing as i already had to invest in a huge array of external enhancements for previous laptops before nay of my acers... ill just plug em in when i want to play anything crysis'y. to check the bit click start right click on computer go to properties

it will say on (system type) 32 or 64-bit Operating System. I think you have the 64 kernal for the CineSurround 5.1.

No the computer is really quiet But the speakers are really loud and kick ass!

Its a good computer and never gets hot well mine dosent. Its worth the price trust me i am happy but not happy with vista all ways fucking up!  NOTE not the computer its 100% sweet just the vista can lick my ball sack.

How hot dose your computer get because the GPU will run hotter when its running a huge game but if it is getting to be too hot were your computer shuts off you might want to send it in to check your heat coils on the GPU's

Nah, I don't think so. What resouloution and graphics do you play with in COD 5. If I go up to 1400 X 1000 (or whatever it is) with 4 X anitalaising it begins to lag when it gets warm. If I go a little down it runs smooth and not get warm..

I have just googled it and I found out that P8600 is newer and, have a better peformance and lower poweruse than the T5900. But I read also that T5900 is good at gaming, but the P8600 is a little newer, and a little better (But expensive!) The differents is not big :) Btw. The screen is amazing on this laptop! i get a lowest windows experiance score of 5.2 which is my processor. considering yours is faster, it should get higher.
