Go for it Humshaugh....a community shop unifies a village community. Take on board those suggestions from supporters that get people into the shop, once there give them local produce and interesting things to buy - you will then grow, increase stock and become something to be proud of! We did this at the Itteringham Village Community Shop, Norfolk in 1996 and are still going strong.
We have gone for it. This video was just the beginning. Since November 1st 2009 a board of directors and a big team of volunteers have been running the shop. In June 2010 we had a major re-fit and it's now going from strength to strength. There's a 19 minute video of how we did it - it just needs a serious edit before we upload it. Watch this space.
