  • i have a 91 300zx. if i remove the EGR valve, will the car run ok? will i have to do anything to the ECU?

  • @Beardred1 you really shouldn't remove the egr valve, it doesnt give any better performance, and believe it or not gives you slightly better gas miliage. some cars actually run crappier if you take them off, as i cant say with the 300zx if it will, but i can tell you it will not pass smog and will run dirtier with out it, i wouldn't recomend doing an egr delete

  • How's the reliability with 160k? im looking at a TT with 150k... not so sure how the TT's hold up, but looks clean. Just kinda wondering if i should get it, it'd have to go in the winter

  • Please every 300ZX owner buy greddy EVO 2 Exhaust its the best sounding one you can buy hands down HKS is up there but still pails in comapirson match it with stillen headers

  • I have seen a N/A with more than 300 hp with a lot of mods and nos, I have found it would be cheaper to do the TT swap, if you like turbo's if not N/A is still really fast

  • It was taken personally because you strolled up acting like you knew something about cars, but you don't. First take the time to learn the shit then you can have conversations with car people.

  • not very healthy you've clearly lost a lot of compression. i only had a few more bolt ons on my 90 NA and i pushed out 365 hp and 310 torque with a 20% loss of pressure in cylinder 5. you should look into a compression test. see if you have some vacuume leaks

  • @Ridethelightning35 you, my friend are full of shit! haha! I have a 90 na (look at my videos) and it is impossible to have 365 hp on a na. unless you do a tt conversion which wouldnt make it a na anymore now would it?

  • not at all buddy. i mean bolt ons will only go so far but a lot of power is easily obtained through the fuel map and overall tune. i've seen honda k20's push out 400hp na before it just takes some work.

    i used to smoke sti's and evo's all day. even a stock mk4 supra got pulled on. plus a stock na vg30de makes 220 stock. that's why i said you've probably lost compression.

  • @Ridethelightning35 I am very interested. maybe I shouldn't have said "impossible" but if you were to spend that much time and money on a NA 300zx you might as well have just bought a twin turbo. It would cost you an arm and a leg to get in that range of HP. But with a twin turbo you could get that by upgrading ECU/exhaust for about 1000 bucks. still dont believe you though ;)

  • You'll never find the papers because you made the whole fucking thing up. Either that or the previous owner did and you got duped. 1000cc injectors are so far overkill to make 365whp na it's not even funny... even if you were, which you aren't. Learn more about cars... since you were testing the waters anyway.

  • usdm never had them stock you have to buy them or buy the kit to make yours look like the jdm ones but the true jdm ones like he has (you can tell by the pinstriping on the lense) cost about $300-500 for the whole set middle included

  • nice z makes me wonder what my numbers are .i just rebuilt my engine new bearings, gaskets, seals ,t belt ,water p ,and got headers,tt stock exhaust on back,ecu flash intake,underdrive pully,ans one piece drive shaft.the drive shaft is a great way to go i felt alot of accel incress from just that and from z1 motor sports there not that expensive

  • Most stock N/A's make around 175rwhp.

  • nope in 1990 they made 222rwhp. the twin turbo made 300rwhp. the n/a z31 made 175rwhp.

  • You're sort of right...that's measuring it at the flywheel. At the wheels, they put down significantly less.

  • wrong, they made 222hp AT THE FLYWHEEL not the wheels. Learn the difference.
