Faith and Freedom...I wonder what their stance is on marriage equality. Organizations the contain the word "faith" followed by "freedom" tend go sparingly with the first part of their name but restrictions may apply for the second part.
@firstatheist OK! I see where you are coming from, given your alias. I consider myself a spiritual agnostic. I am open to hearing what other people think, both spiritually and religiously, because there are interesting contrasts.
The words "Faith" and "Freedom" were probably the strongest in the vernacular of black slaves.
He has no faith of freedom because he already has it. Because, he never lacked freedom, he feels that he is free to shit on everyone else. So it goes!
O'keefe, you aren't fooling anyone when you refer to yourself as a "journalist." Your a right wing ideologue who trumps up shit on the editing table. I think the most charitable description of O'keefe is that he's a conservative activist, which is fine but be honest about it. BTW, all you ditto heads better start cutting him some checks, if you want to see another workshop in editing.
@firstatheist For all your derision, I think you're still giving that snot-nosed little prick more credit than he deserves. Sorry, I'm really angry, because that malignant little douche bag did get more credit than he deserves. He wandered into a Black community, in Huggy Bear-esqe attire, looking like he didn't have two pubes to rub together and expected everybody to think that he was a pimp!
The people in the film didn't believe it, but anyone who wanted to sure did.
Michael Moore did it better, did it bigger, was more original, and causes far more problems for the right than O'keefe could in his wildest black tar heroine induced dreams.
Its an award from an interest group that shares his ideology. This isn't exactly a Pullitzer that he's getting, its one right-winger jerking off to another, and O'keefe getting the money shot.
I like how people accuse him of propaganda. "I do not think it means what you think it means." There's no one idea he's trying to spread, there's no organization spreading rumors, there's nothing but raw TRUTH.
@jujubmuse What he does isn't propaganda. There actually is an art to that, if you want to call it art. He is actually a slack-jawed, politically motivated and ill informed, little puke with delusions of being another Woodward or Bernstein. To be honest, if it really was raw TRUTH, would his films be so highly edited.
At this point I am going to ask you not to insult me by acting like you don't know about him being exposed as a liar in court. He has an arbitrary agenda to hurt people.
The Robert D. Novak award for journalist excellence? Really?? So the award is named after the guy who destroyed years of Valerie Plame's work in the C.I.A. to forward his own political agenda and got fired for doing so. I know, O.K., It's not the Lee Harvey Oswald award, but it will have to do. Still only 4:28 into it and I am still wondering what the guy who actually made the kool-aid is going to say.
@scoob2007 Oh please, the Wilsons had an agenda of their own and Novak was trying to expose that. What you are describing is a bunch of DISTRACTION, and the real point was completely missed by the mainstream media.
@jujubmuse Well! Thanks for all the facts. If I may add a few of my own, he was a diplomat and she was a covert CIA operative. Neither job was affiliated with a political party. Their agenda was given to them by George W. Bush: investigate WMD threats in Iraq. They did this and found that there were none, and there were none. This wasn't good enough for Karl Rove and Scooter Libby who leaked her identity to Robert Novak, who, in turn, irresponsibly made it public. Define mainstream media.
But that's not true about the wmd. The cia's official possition is that Iraq had many banned weapons, such as tons of poison gas. Look up the 2002 cia report on Iraq wmd.
Joseph Wilson also thought Iraq was in gross violation, just read his nytimes opinion pieces. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but not to your own facts.
@charlesvan13 And where did these WMD's end up? They certainly weren't found in Iraq! I would prefer to trust facts rather than opinion, even my own. I believe that opinion can and should change as more facts are revealed. Trying to stubbornly warp reality to fit your deluded world view and force it on others is pointless, destructive and ridiculously egotistical.
... investigative journalist who seeks to expose the truth. He's also dedicated to training video muck-rakers nation wide. No shit, the emcee really said that, but the way he said it made it sound like something positive. This whole thing is starting to sound like a bit of a Klan meeting when the only member is the guy at the podium. I'm only 3:58 at this point and I have lost track of how many toes are left to be shot off.
Maybe if the internet was as big in the 1970's as it is today, European citizen journalists would have sprung up and exposed the horrors of big government and they wouldn't have traveled down the road they have for the past 30 years.
@tugger Do you even know how to reason? The reason why I stopped debating with liberals is because I spend 70% of my time pointing out their factual errors, 10% of the time pointing out moot points, 10% of the time pointing out their opinion on something, 10% of the time thinking to myself, "Is this fucking idiot serious?" So I ask again, do you know how to reason CORRECTLY???
@tugger O.K.! I can't tell if you're being ironic or not, so I'll just jump in. I personally think that faith and reason are mutually exclusive. Try to tell that to a person of faith and you'll get an unreasonable response before you can finish the sentence. My mom goes to church and I don't. She thinks she wins arguments when she yells loudly and I decide that the only reasonable thing to do, is walk away. But, I don't think her loud approach has anything to do with church where everyone shh's.
James and a few friends out preformed CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC and the list goes on and on. Millions of dollars, thousands of employees and all they can do is try to smear this young man. The media is bought and paid for and O"Keefe is one of the only true journalists operating. Grab your camera and shine the light of truth into the dark hole of DC.
And the fact that this guy is a known lier doesn't seem to bother these people?
I guess lieings fine, as long as it benifites your cuase?

Beware: You are entering a fact-free zone that honors a convicted felon, accused attempted rapist, notorious liar and scam artist.

So, how does a guy, who is a hell of a problem for the press, get an award for journalist excellence?
Just asking, with no expectation of a ridiculous reply.
But, I'll bet I get one!!

@jujubmuse Except the Wilson's agenda was telling the truth, saving lives and preventing an unnecessary war. Novak's agenda was political payback.
