  • i pray for a day they will not have to use this training!

  • @MrRichardwinkel As a Navy CASEVAC (CASualty EVACuation) Fleet Marine Force combat Corpsman with II Marine Expeditionary Force and with Marine Air Group 26 Ch-53E's (Flyin' Tiger's Hoo-Rah!) with time in the sand I can reply this...we need RON PAUL to make a difference. Anyone else just another god damned establishment bomb thrower who has NO kids serving in the military. Republican or Democrat...when was the last time we were NOT in a "no-war war"? Exactly, it's perpetual. R3VOLUTION 2012!!

  • You probably figured why US Naval Hospital Corpsman have a higher death rate with the Marines. The MARINE will tell you it is becuase there job is so dangerous (NO MORE THEN AN ARMY INMFANTRY MEDIC)... The real reason is that Marine will shoot you (friendly fire) and of course you have NO Weapon! Lets not over look that fact!

  • @DOCCAREY I carried 2 weapons in Iraq with my Marine unit as Doc to 24 hard chargers...plus 180 rnds of 5.56 and 45 rnds of 9 mike mike on my person at all times out of the wire. (Plus plenty of gum and beef jerky!)

  • Marine Knocks Out Navy Corpsman

  • IF You googled Marine Knocks Out Navy Corpsman you know answer to my question. You do not want to go war with these people. The Marine will lie an tell you tey are better then SEALS RANGERS. Medics with SEALS Rangers train together. This is what it takes become a SEAL- 24 wks of BUDS 28 wks of SQT and if you want to be a MEDIC- 26 wks of ARMY training. That is before you join your SEAL Team as a SO-5392 Naval Special Warfare Medic .. Think about that one!

  • @DOCCAREY Uhhh...there are no "medics" in the Navy bro. We're (Hospital) Corpsman. So there are no SEAL "Medics".

  • GOOGLE IT!!!!

  • leaving febuary 6th to be a navy corpsman, then im requesting an FMF assignment. im proud to be able to have an opportunity to be with the best. Ohhrah!

  • Would you say your training was more physically challenging or mentally? Great vid thanks for your service, and I cant wait to do this job and cheat death one Marine at a time.

Im very Proud of My rate, and Very Excited To be an HM 8404... quals out the ass here I come! Thanks for Sharing this video :)

Cannot wait to Be out there! HOOYAH NAVY... HOOOORAH NAVY CORPSMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @1fstblu did you go to boot camp yet? if not do you leave january 31, 2012? cuz i got hm fmf and going to camp le jeune as well.

  • @1fstblu Wanna hear something funny? If I hadn't got out I would have probably been your trainer while you were waiting to class up at FMTB or you may have been a hard charger FMF Death Cheater under me. That's what I did for hundreds of Corpsman @ Camp Lejeune. ;) Now I'm 1st CivDiv! HELLO NO SHAVE!! =)

  • I lost 43 marines between Beirut and 2 tours in Iraq, but I saved 162. I'll accept that ratio! The hardest thing for a Corpsman to do is watch his Marines die under his hand, but you have to learn to accept it or go crazy! I see my Marines faces every day since and probably will for the rest of my life! SEMPER FI DOCS!!! Doc Hanes 78-98

  • thracheostomy in the field at 1:00 lol nice.

  • @knpdyeballarice its really similar to a tracheostomy. They called it a cricothyrotomy when i went through this TCCC course...my first run was pretty intense, was sore 3 days after lol

  • @knpdyeballarice we call'em "crikes". ;)

  • @navydoctrinidad Hoo-Rah II MEF!!! Camp Lejeune Doc. ;)

  • I was 31 years old when I joined the Navy Reserves. I went on to serve for nearly 10 years as both a Hospital Corpsman (18 mo. UNSR) and then a Combat Medic (8 yrs., 2 mo. US Army-active.) I had been a paramedic for 6 years prior to my service. During OIF II with 3/2 Stryker BDE I had the honor to be able to perform my job well. On our last mission in Mosul I was injured.

  • The army gave me a medical discharge and it was then that I was hired as a civilian to work at one of the first Medical Simulation Training Centers (MSTC) to teach TC3.If you are able to take this course, take it! If not watch the videos then go and practice, practice, practice. When you think you've got it go practice some more.

  • @rpa49 Thank you for your service to our country!

  • Proud to have served as a combat corpsman with 3/5 Marines in Nam - 1969 - 3/5 is currently deployed to Afghanistan and scheduled to return home next month. Godspeed, Semper Fi and Get some!

  • I'll be goin through this next year, Navy boot in July then HM school and then this.

  • I'll be doin this next year. goin though Navy boot in July.

  • I will be honored when I ship off this August as a Navy Corpsman to fight and help my fellow worriers.

  • @Skribduex You're not a Doc yet, you haven't earned that--tread lightly.

  • @naval8viator Of corse I'm not yet, but I will be honored when i become one. i mean no disrespect to anyone.

  • @naval8viator Rah!!

  • Medics and Corpsmen, the heroes of heroes, god bless all men and women of our military

  • Saving lives is great but taking lives is never good.

  • @Tmdkiller

The Navy Corpsman are Noncombatants. We only use lethal force in self defense or in the defense of our patients. We take the lives of those who try to take the lives that we are there to save. Every person in a unit loves their corpsman, and we love them the same. If you were out there you would understand.

  • @Castriel Yep i understand Thanks! =)

  • @Castriel Well said

  • @Castriel i heard corpsman who were deployed with the marines had to remain operational. It's been said that the only difference between a corpsman and a marine was that the corpsman carried two packs, correct me if im wrong

  • @bigreddawg91 well we have a choice whether we want to stay with they marines or not. And we don't carry 2 packs, we carry one with an extra 20 lbs worth of medical gear. so yes, we are essentially marines that know how to take care of the wounded.

  • @bigreddawg91 You couldn't be MORE correct my well informed friend! Hoo-Rah Devil Doc II MEF!!

  • @Castriel LOL!! Who told you THAT nonsense! The BEST medicine is lead down RANGE!! I carried a full battle rattle (M4 & M9 180 rnds/5.56 and 45 rnds/9mm) with my Marine unit and my job was to fire my rifle FIRST then fix up the broken as needed.

  • hooah, much respect

  • this is what im going to b doing! =)

  • good song choice

  • im in Navy DEP. my MOS is hospital corpsman. i will be going FMF (fleet marine force). "through hell and back to tend for a wounded marine"

  • @HollywoodL0L Make sure you don't say MOS in basic, but same, but I leave June 20th of next year.

  • I was in Iraq with one of those guys years ago...

  • Cool video. Brings me back to my old days with 1st Batt 12th Mar Div. Serving in the FMF was the best time of my life as a young sailor!

  • thank you all U.S Navy Corpsmen

  • What are your chances of dying as a corpsman? Im seriously considerin goin in as a corpsman and i know that the military in itself is a risky job but compared to other jobs in the military what are your chances of dying or being assigned as a combat medic?

  • @Brooklyn1530

The marines Job is to protect the Corpsman at ALL costs, the Loss of a corpsman is worse than the loss of a grunt. Cause the Corpsman is the only Medical Care the Platoon gets out on the field.

  • @Brooklyn1530 If you have to ask that question, then you don't go green. A fleet marine force corpsman is usually the sole provider of medical care to his Marines, and must be willing to put his life on the line for his jarheads. The bond shared by a Doc and his grunts is one of the strongest forces on this earth.

If you can't find it within yourself to accept that you may have to lay down your own life for another's, it's NOTHING to be ashamed of, but that's what it takes to go green.

  • @LaSantaDeVita That was a well-worded post.

  • @LaSantaDeVita if your a male and in shape are you pretty much guaranteed fmf or fmtb if you want it once you get the HM rate?

  • @12345zxcvbnmasdfghjk , Hust becareful what you ask for? lol.. 8 weeks of USN boot camp- 8 weeks of HM-A school- 7 weeks of an introduction to the USMC. Then you an 8404 Corpsman and I hop you do not get sent right into a grunt unit! 8404=TRUST.. This TRUST must be mutual.. That Marine must trust you will do your job- The 8404 Must TRUST that Marine to do the shooting. All 8404 are humanitarians and are NOT allowed to carry any weapon except a side arm.

  • @ all 8404's.. You must place emphasis on TRUST. That Marine needs to TRUST you will be thier as a life line- You need to TRUST that Marine will shoot for you. Think about it- You as a 8404 Corpsman have to go to war with out a defense. Now, that Marine is actually your defense! You see where TRUST becomes a factor?? This is how Marines treat some Corpsman- google it.. Marine Knocks Out Navy Corpsman .. Would you want to go into war as this guy TRUSTING those guys???

  • @DOCCAREY ok, ur an official idiot.

  • Marine Knocks Out Navy Corpsman

  • If you want your own weapon- Go SEAL or just join the ARMY!!!! Marine Knocks Out Navy Corpsman

  • @DOCCAREY i understand that. im in good [physical training and its not like the course is as hard as buds anyways. as for firearm usage, FMF HM are allowed to carry many varieties of rifles, usually the weapon of choice is the m16.

  • @12345zxcvbnmasdfghjk thanks for that clarification. I forgot about that change! thanks tor the correction.

  • @12345zxcvbnmasdfghjk As an FMF Doc from the desert I wouldn't say it's the weapon of OUR choice. Where was my good ol' reliable never fail Glock of the combat rifles AK-47!? That's MY choice.

  • @Brooklyn1530 im in navy DEP i ship out june 14 next year. if you go in as a corpsman like i am. the chances of dying are all based on different hot zones that are present at the time your sent in. and by the way FMF as of now is voluntary. so you get a choice. unless.. you are critically needed. good luck

  • @Brooklyn1530 Your chances are minimal compared to the total number of combat footprints there have been on the ground in both Iraq and Afghanistan related to the total number of combat deaths over the last 10 years.

Here's a thought for you. Don't join thinking about your chances of dying. Join for the opportunity to serve your fellow service member and country. If you have any doubts, do something else. Admin is always looking for people.

  • @rpa49 Minimal chances? Tell that to the parents of one of MY Docs who was killed with a round to the side during training PRIOR to deployment. Don't make crazy promises or inuendoes that are baseless and fact-less please.

  • @Brooklyn1530 100%...that's why I'm communicating from another dimension. What kind of a question is that?

  • @TexasLibertyMan a question from someone who knows some things about corpsman but not everything thats why i ask

  • I'm supposed to ship for boot August 24th for corpsman I made a 73 on my asvab. Really excited for it I want to go FMF

  • @UFCFIGHTER990 hey man me to i scored a 59. and i will also go FMF.i ship june 14 next year

  • @headoverseer, wow. grow up. The Military is the most ethnic diverse employer in the world. (E6 and GS7, 13yrs in the service) So, your statements are completely with out merit. Also, the term 'nigger' is from the term 'niggard' which means 'a stingy or ungenerous person'. Uneducated folks, like you, changed the word to 'nigger' sense the 17th century. I think it is time to grow up now.

  • army navy air force marines, we awnsered the call to protect our great nation swear the oath and we all become brothers no color no race just american.

  • ooorah sir

  • @lycanspirit1 No my friend, you said "we all become brothers no color no race just american" I must point out first of it it is no matter the color or race we are all bound for one reason freedom. no color no race JUST AMERICAN? no my friend go back to school. for one that made no sense two, it's not all the race who fight for america fuck america.. it's the american citizens the freedom prosperity bravery.

  • @fallout401 alright faggot, first he posted that 10 months ago, so why would you even reply? second, it does make fucking sense, you just dont get it because you're a moron. just think about what he means, and you will understand it too. im not even enlisted in the military, but i can understand and respect what they do for me every day. lycan was talking about the bond you create with others.

  • @mets558 alrightfaggot he said army navy air force marines, we awnsered the call to protect our great nation swear the oath and we all become brothers no color no race just american.

number one, no man fights for america. they fight for the people number two no color no race just american? yeah that sure made fucking sense you have about as much brains as him number three hes not even in the army number four the bond you create with others is all about race and color how we all live in peace

  • @lycanspirit1 Some answered a little more boldly than others...

  • @lycanspirit1 RAH!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @lycanspirit1 hey now, coast guard's in there too.

  • ooorrrahhh!!!

  • Ok I've been wanting to join for a long time. And I've been wondering what's the ASVAB score you gotta get? I see the comments say 50? And I heard you also get it at 40? I wanna know? And what should I study? And is it easy to get that job or what? I NEED INFO BECAUSE THE RECURITERS HERE ARE BULLSHITING LOL!!!!

  • ASVAB score is pending on the job. Most soldiers get around 60~70 anyways. Honestly, don't worry about that test. Message me if you need more information.

  • get as high as you can get man, i got a 64 and i was good for corpsman, but the higher the better

  • @gloves123 DONT WORRY, MY RECRUITERS ARE DICKS TOO. BE IT MARINE OR NAVY, IM GOING TO BE A GREENSIDE CORPSMAN, didnt mean this is caps, but im lazy

  • Comment removed

  • Corpsman to Marines are gods angles on the battle field. Taking care of his Marines that he sent down to solve the worlds problems. Why are you arguing over races in the military. I have seen all races in combat on the front lines especially African Americans. I don't care about your race if you are a fellow service member and were in the shit hope in my fox hole especially Marines. When im in i won't care about your race you are my Marine brother and I would die for you any day. Semper Fi .

  • @USMCMarineForceRecon can't agree with you more, im the one of the few asian HMs in my platoon, i would die for my marines anyday and i know they have my back

    HM3 (FMF)

  • Oorah!

  • @headoverseer

amazing, I haven't seen a shit bird recently but you are definately one of them sir

btw I'm HEAD NIGGER IN CHARGE WHERE I'M AT, MAKING ALL THE BOOT WHITEBOYS TAKE MY COMMANDS

irregardless of race everybody can be a shit bird and I hope to god you aren't in the USM. fucking turd

  • "irregardless" is not a word. The word you were looking for is, "regardless".

    Look it up, nigger.

  • I did, and you are really a shit bird.

Irregardless is an informal term meaning regardless or irrespective, which has caused controversy since it first appeared in the early twentieth century. Most dictionaries list it as "incorrect" or "nonstandard".

sad your mother must have FUCKED her own brother to create your dumb ass.

  • So what part of "incorrect" don't you understand... nigger?

If you had any idea what white Marines think of niggers you wouldn't mouth off so much. BTW, maybe you can tell me why there are so few niggers on the front? I mean, the military has a shit-load of niggers but you seldom see one actually carrying a rifle when the shit hits the fan. How do you fucks manage to get out of it? Truth is, most Marine riflemen don't want niggers around anyway. They're pure liability.

  • fuck since wen the fuck did the marines call a brother nigger... shut the fuck up army faggot dont fuck with the unity marines have piece of shit

  • Maybe you can answer my question?

How come you see so few niggers on the front lines? How do niggers manage to stay out of action?

The only place I've ever been is up front. Always "saddle-up", always up front but I don't see that many niggers up there not that I mind cuz I don't really like niggers -- especially when my life depends on it/

  • OORAH! I want to thank those who saved the lives of all the Marines, not just the Marines, anyone. Thanks,

    -Michael Turner, Future Devil Dog

  • Ooh Fucking Rah Devil Doc!!!

  • Ooh-fucking-rah! FMF Corpsman..cannot wait to take care of our Marines!

  • GO corpsman OORAH!! ship out august going fmf corpsman cant wait

  • I ship Aug 24 going corpsman as well

  • hey me too

    2010?

  • I did 15 years as a EMT/Paramedic/Navy Doc. Best years of my life. Learn all you can. Stay clean, sharp and proud. Go to as many schools as you can. You WILL change the lives of many.

Cheatin' death... one soul at a time!

  • didn't need the music

  • Corpsman up!!

God Dam it Doc!! Fuckn wait for cover fire!

    Cover Doc!!

If the Army and the Navy ever look on heavens scenes

They will Find A Navy Corpsman right beside his US Marines!!

    Thanks Doc!

    Well never forget your sacrifice.

    Keep Attacking!!

    Semper Fi!

  • I am a proud father of a FMF Doc. He will be deploying in February or March. I have nothing but respect and admiration for the US Navy Corpsman.

  • WE are the ones who choose to do the job noone wants. The red cross is a target to bear but i would take a bullet for any of my marines any day any night and any time. 1ST mar div. pendelton. Detach from twenty nine palms. Blood angel ti the die i die..........

  • Do corpsman in the field still have the red cross on their helmet?

  • no because there basicly combat medic

in WWII you werent supposed to shoot the men with red crosses but they did anyways

  • @discobisonXD No. The red cross is now seen by our enemy as a bulls eye of sorts. Corpsmen no longer wear the insignia because the enemy would target the Corpsmen, exactly what the cross was meant to deter, and then the Marines os Soldiers (IA) the Corpsman is serving will have no medical provider thus taking a bit of their will to fight. They dont want to risk getting hit if they know their is no help for them if they do.

  • had some good times doing TCCC.

  • Being a Corpsman is dangerous, who would help you if you're hit?

  • When a "DOC" is hit (or Corpsmen down! As Marines know it on the battlefield.)

he better pray that the wound is not so serous that he can't treat it himself.

That's why "DOC's" train their Marines to be able to treat minor wounds.

Ether way if there are wounded Marines he will treat then regardless of his wounds.

Than he will join the ranks of our brothers and sisters that have given their lives so others may live.

That is the Code of the blood angels.

    Semper Courageous!!

  • A Corpsman best hope to survive is if another Corpsman show up.

  • The latin phrase you're looking for is Semper Fortis.

  • @TheBreadCrumbs My Marines

  • God bless the Devil Docs!

  • i wanted to go to FMTB so bad but my whole class got 0000 beside the reservists that had it contracted now I'm in new york who knew there was in Saratoga springs lol (i know this is TCCC) I thing im going a course in new port soon

  • DCAP-BTLS???

  • LMFAO DCAP-BTLS

  • you know the deal lol....corps school???

  • @somersferland ABCs?

  • @cosmicbrowny094

We actually teach to treat Circulation first now. Technically, it's CAB. It would take too long to try to stabilize an airway while getting shot at. A tourniquet is a quick fix until you are solidly under cover to get crackin' on that airway. But good job on DCAP BTLS up there! ;)

  • @boatwright343 well you could throw a NPG in their nose pretty quick. if need be. you can sustain for a few minutes with a maj arterial bleed. but i see your point. when did they start teaching the CAB?

  • @somersferland Deformities, Contusions, Abrasions, Punctures, Burns, Tenderness, Lacerations, Swelling?

    Oh yeah, I'm good.

  • @somersferland dont forget about BRIM

  • @somersferland deformities, contusions, abrasions, punctures/penetrations, burns, tenderness, lacerations, and last but not least- swelling!

  • That's the Trauma Combat Casualty Course (TCCC) course at Camp Pendleton.

  • tactical combat casualty care

  • 09165B

  • HEY FOR REAL ALL OF YOU BOOT HMs and wannbe BOOTs need to quit talking about OPSEC and PERSEC stuff on here, the muj use this shit all time. I just corrected all the answers there should be no more discusion... and for all you boots ill see your face first thing when you check in at 1 div. Good luck

    -Hm2G-

  • @KgKicknPunk86 Nov. 29th is my boot date (rolling-in after I get my diploma, hopefully sooner), A-school some time after that! Can't wait to get to the Great Lakes! God damn am I excited for it!

  • Leave for basic August 24, 2009. Hospital Corpsman! I am so stoked!

  • what song is this

  • dude corpsman score is way down now it's like a 35.. lol

  • I wish there wasn't any music in this clip, other then that it was good.

  • Search Corpsman Undergo Intense Training for this version but w/o Music.

  • Haha cricothyrotomy, abdominal dressing placement and checking for exit wound training lab. Ahh this brings back memories from my fmss training in camp pendleton. thanks for posting this. Hoorah Devildoc!

  • im joining when im 18 i have 6 years left to go i wana join because most of my family has went and to save lives and i got one more question is a corpsman the same a medic

  • I am joining.

  • i just got my certification as an emt.. and i scored 60 on the ASVAB.. will i get an advancement based on my certification as an emt?

  • nope. study hard and take the test in 3 months.

  • how high must i score to be a corpsman?

  • 45; ve+gs or w/e. I'm going in march, goodluck.

  • ve+mk+gs = 146, i think they raised it though

  • i got a 62 and made it. ship out 20090811 good luck

  • no dumbass

  • Our son is in Afghanistan near Pak border on tiny FOB with no communication. He had rough tour in Iraq with Marine EOD. All I know is that my son is the best we have to offer and those that watch his back I love. God Bless all that have skin in the game...

  • ima join the navy for sure, my pops was in the navy for 20 years is the reason why i want to join, also would be tight to be a corpsman all i know is to score a 50 or higher on that asvad or asfab or whatever test,

  • you'll need to score higher than a 50 on the ASVAB to go HM, otherwise they'll just make you a deck ape.... :~D Best of luck, bud ~ HM2Adams (aka: RockDoc) 1989-1993
