@monquie1ful soap base is basically soap that you can buy, usually in 1 foot by 1 foot slabs. It's what you cut and melt before adding color and fragrance. I watch many videos do I don't remember if she showed the cubes at the beginning but if she didn't than just look around at other videos. You will see little cubes of unmelted soap that have been cut from a big slap. And you can buy it at any craft store

@monquie11ful A soap base is basically the base of the soap. For example she's making a white soap base. After it's hard (So you can put another layer without it going through the white soap) she puts the red soap overtopping and finally when that's hard, she rolls!

This is cool, if you guys don't want to go get that fancy expensive soap, made for melting, then try... Pears fragrant soap. It can be a bit sticky, but it has the most beautiful smell. Simple soap doesent work ( simple as in the brand) I think it's fragranced soap that works, don't you think? I might do my own with this recipe! With the soap types I have shown.

@clownyfire166 i use food coloring cuz well its so much cheaper then colorants made for soap. just make sure not to use to much or it may stain your skin though i have never had it happen to me in my many yrs of soap making
