@HelpsYouPoop I spotted a few bean pods today but nowhere near as many as there have been flowers - not sure if it's a pollination issie, or whether it's still too early inb the season?
I thought frost was forecast for early this week ? Hard to believe given the current weather. I'm planting a lot more this month myself. No tomatoes tho, no green house.
@rickvanman I did that and it didn't work for tomatoes. They need glass. They're impossible to grow under plastic. It filters various UV rays out. You also get blossom rot too, from the difference in temperature in night and day. They get condensation on the fruit at night and rot. I'll get a glass house some day soon tho.
Looking good Rick, you better start collecting some jars to store your winter reserves of tomato sauce, I dont think its blight on your upside down tomato it looks like sun scorch from water drops acting like a little magnifying glass, best garry
@garryentropy Cheers Garry - I think you are right, if it was blight, the others would be showing signs of it too but they are fine (fingers crossed).
Yep, been saving jars since the winter, and have a load of kilner jars and a vacuum sealer system lined up ready to store the dehydrated produce. Can't wait for the tomato chutney! I love that stuff :o)
@HomesteadAcres Makes all the difference doesn't it? we're in a mini heatwave at the moment too and the high temps are making all the plants go ballistic!
Wow!! Those tomatoes are really doing well!! I'm excited for you!! You should have an enormous crop, Rick!! Glad you talked about the "pinching out" of the tomatoes... lets me know I'm doing SOMETHING right... lol
My cucumbers are still growing slow....
The hydroponics look wonderful!! Are you still planning to turn the whole "rack" to lettuce?
The broad bean flowers may be being eaten by insects. ?
Rick very healthy and impressive garden. Cool update.

The broad bean flowers turn into beans. So expect as many beans as you have flowers.

@HelpsYouPoop you can make a greenhouse from a wood frame and a few sheets of polythene - will make all the difference to your food production.

Do you make all of your music yourself?

@TeacherPhilEnglish Not all. I tend to use purchased RF music from my library for my own videos.

@MZMStudios Thanks Patrick :o) it has definitely been hard work and involved a LOT of research, but so far it seems to have paid off.
Hydroponics - once the toms have finished, yes it will be all lettuce as Hopefully I can grow them all year round - the toms only grow in season.
I keep looking for bugs on the broad beans but cant see any. will keep plugging with them.
Spinach - yes - easy/quick to grow and tastses fab!
I'm jealous of your garden size! :o) yours will be fab soon too!
