The best drummers are in metal too, portnoy/jordison for example, best bassists, burton as an example, and vocals, Cobain, Hendrix, Hetfield, Dio, Ozzy. Capiche?

Rock/Metal drains a lot out of you physically, which I'll give to a lot of those genre musicians, but genres such as jazz/fusion, require much more technical stuff. You like at drummers like Chris Dave or Jon Blackwell or Tony Williams, Lars or most metal or rock drummer wouldn't be able to keep up, some can, which is why I say most.
