This movie is SIGNIFICANTLY more intelligent than people give it credit. What most people don't realize is that this movie is essentially a modern-day "A Midsummer Night's Dream," and carries with it Shakespeare's motifs and traditions (the pastoral or "Green World," bawdy puns, gender + role reversal, the play within a play, etc.) The characters themselves reflect this as well. If you know Shakespeare, then I highly recommend it, as it is rich with beautiful, witty and luscious content.

A "queer film," in that it contains elements of queer literary theory, but more than anything, it is a modern, Shakespearean film. Depends how deep you're willing to delve. ;)

In this movie are enough twists and turns to make this story very interesting and intriguing without being over-complicated. The characters are well-played, especially the main ones. For me it was the most amazing film this year.. But I am sure 'daving info' is going to bring the new best one soon!!!

This movie was awesome! As a straight guy with gay friends, i get their struggle. Hopefully this will be a step towards the equality our countries pretend to pride themselves on.
I also love the bits in the movie where it addresses anti-gay arguments and shoots them down, albeit slyly.
My best friend is gay and kept talking about how he saw this movie on Logo, and that I had to see it. So I hung out with him the other day and we watched in on Instant Netflix.. And I'm not gonna lie, I kind of loved it. Timothy seriously had one of the most beautiful voices I had ever heard. It was very well done for being low budget. I didn't have the time to watch the Movie but Thank God for DVR. If my BF wouldn't have told me to record it I would've been screwed. This movie not only shows love that a lot of gay couples share but it also shows the struggles and discrimination that we have to go.

I went past this movie several time on the netflixs instant queue before I was really board one night and decided that with three stars it couldn’t be all bad so I gave it a watch .. though the synopsis they provide doesn’t come close to telling you about the movie! that is why it took me so long to get to it .. but is an excellent adaptation !!!

This movie was awesome! As a straight guy with gay friends, i get their struggle. Hopefully this will be a step towards the equality our countries pretend to pride themselves on.
I also love the bits in the movie where it addresses anti-gay arguments and shoots them down, albeit slyly.

My best friend is gay and kept talking about how he saw this movie on Logo, and that I had to see it. So I hung out with him the other day and we watched in on Instant Netflix.. And I'm not gonna lie, I kind of loved it. Timothy seriously had one of the most beautiful voices I had ever heard. It was very well done for being low budget. After watching it I also found out it was filmed very close to my house.. what a surprise. haha. If you haven't seen this movie yet WATCH IT!

This is an amazing movie!!! It is weird, crazy, and a bit strange, but so romantic! I just love it! I don't think a sequel would be very good, but I do wish there were more modern musical films like this.

His voice is incredible; it does give you chills. I rented this film from Netflix and thought it was incredible. I loved it!
You can, also, find the DVD with the "gay" cover on it of the two main leads at TLA Video on-line.

I didn't have the time to watch the Movie but Thank God for DVR. If my BF wouldn't have told me to record it I would've been screwed. This movie not only shows love that a lot of gay couples share but it also shows the struggles and discrimination that we have to go.
God Bless all of everyone and hope this movie shines light into peoples hearts.

A wonderful movie with a fantastic lesson about Free Will and Love! If only such a reality could exist and problems could be solved with a magic potion or a wish. Aw well, I guess we would not have dreams and imagination if they did.
