I have done that. I do not favor taxing anyone any more than they already are, as a first option. The first option is to cut spending. The windfall profit tax would effectively raise the cost of gasoline for us. Anybody with a slight economic mind would tell you that when cost of production (windfall taxes count as such), the cost is picked up by the consumer
I think you should go to fact check about the 100-year thing you said. Its been misrepresented many times..
Well, you would say goodbye to even more of it when Obama makes oil companies pay more taxes on their profits, you and I will see that tax as the Companies pass that new cost along to the consumer.
If you've followed McCain's career, you will see how different he is from the rest of his party. Of course he's a republican, so he has Republican beliefs...but to say he's the same as Bush, is to buy into the dishonesty of the Obama campaign talking points.
I don't think so. McCain stopped be a Maverick after the 2k election. There was a knee jerk of a kick left in 2K4, but there's nothing now. You are right about him NOT following BUSH 100% of the time (Mini-me). I was wrong. It's only 90% of the time. Bush left him out to dry on Iraq and getting out (McCain-100 yrs, Bush-Timeline Horizon). McCain-drill drill drill, Bush experts say no impact on prices, not sure how Bush worded it at the moment. Need to review Obama oil plan again (tax issue).
you seem fairly reasonable compared to many on your side of these issues....so maybe you may consider this.
Markets are forward looking. If they see more supply coming online (even if its years out), the speculators will find something else to speculate upon. This will create market forces, like in any bubble, that will correct the explosion in prices we've had.
I think any commodity trader would tell you it would be more like a 15-30% drop in prices.
I honestly thought that you were like 12 or something...when I looked up your age I was astonished to see 40. All I can say is with Obama...say bye bye to your hard earned paycheck. Didn't have to worry about overtaxation from Bush.
Yardometer, even 12 year olds can see McCain is a Bush Mini-me. I am already saying bye bye to my paycheck...high gas, food, meds, utilities, etc.
I MIGHT consider Insane McCain if he told me SOMETHING he stands for (that isn't a lie), and didn't change his mind about 72 hours later. Could you tell him to start talking about what he will do instead of what Obama won't do? It's getting old (like him).
I'll take the hit for my last post, but your candidate is about to go DOWN. Titanic McCain

McCain admitted that he does not even know how to use a computer. Too old!

What a surprise. McCain is a complete phony. If I listened to Faux or AM radio, I'd never know.
And Al Gore's just a complete maniac, too, huh?
Don't worry. That last statement was a representation of what too many people on the Web--the particularly ingorant ones--love to say.
