The Black Caiman is the largest member of the Alligatoridae family (yes, Caiman are in the same family as Alligators and yes, the Black Caiman is bigger than the American Alligator.) The Black Caiman is also the only Caiman capable of eating a human, but they only live in limited portions of the Amazon Basin. The only bigger crocodilians are the Saltwater Crocodile, the Nile Crocodile and the Gharial.
