  • OUT...there's a frame where if you freeze it right you can see the ball in the glove and the runner just about to touch second but clearly off the bag

  • OUT

  • so out

  • Out. Great call by the umpire. I hit pause at the perfect moment. The ball was in th 2nd baseman's glove and the runners foot was OVER the bag, not on it. Runner it out!

  • tie goes to the runner

  • @OppositeOfAdults1 No such rule.

  • Hard to tell because the camera is moving

  • yer out!!!!!

  • out !!!!!!!

  • good call out

  • hes out good call by the umpire

  • That's definitely a penis.

  • out

  • he was out at exactley 0.04 pause it and see

  • Out!

  • He's out. And the runner knew it. Not even close but in a video it can look deceiving. Out. No problem calling that one.

  • If you pause the vid he is safe

  • Usually on close calls the person who gets the the call to not go their way is upset, but i love how the runner keeps it classy

  • OUT

  • First of all there is no thing as "tie goes to the runner" that never appears anywhere in any rule book. He's clearly out anyway

  • out

  • safe it was a tie

  • out

  • out

  • ump was picking at his balls

  • good call. he's out.

  • out

  • what was the noise at 0:04?

  • @jkoeni2 it's the catch before he touches the base

  • @santiagodebellavista talking about the moron yelling yeahahh

  • OUT! EPICLY!

  • out!. second base had the ball b4 the guyz foot touched hes out clearly.

  • safe

  • Heeeeeeeee's out!

  • we have power to pause pause at 0:04 it looks like he is safe

  • out

  • thats definently out

  • Out!

  • out

  • Out by 2 miles

  • Out by a mile

  • He looks safe...

  • Ties go to the fielder unles there is the chance the ball wasn't in the glove ( if the throw was in the dirt) then you usually give the benigiet of the doubt to the runner

  • Out

  • tie goes to the runner...

  • @xBxYxRxDxMxAxNx There is no such rule. He was out.

  • to me he looks safe but just by a liitle and i am about to go tu=o ump school and i play baseball he is safe to me it does but to some people it may not i give an edge to the runners because tie goes to them so to me he is safe by a little distance but great play

  • saaaffffffffffffeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • pause @0:04

  • Clearly out.

  • Sout?

  • @SafariMan17 you got that right!!!! :)

  • out

  • out big time

  • out

  • SAFE

  • he's out 0:04 the runner's foot isnt on the bag

  • TIE GOES 2 RUNNER!!!

  • @ninjamonkeybird it was no tie. i know what the ump does to make the desision. he watches the foot and listens for the glove. the glove sounded before the foot got there

  • The ball got there before the runner, therefore (and this is not a close play as plays go) out.

  • out

  • the camera man sucked dick hard to tell unless u wanna cheat and do slow-mo

  • safe

  • out

  • out

  • why doesn't the second baseman stretch? Could make the call easier!

  • I think he's an umpire for a reason, I believe he knows what he's doing, The runners' out!

  • I think out but my angle wasn't too good.

  • safe

  • out

just because of the effort at SS

  • not to mention that this call was obviously out

  • sshoulda slide head first

  • if you hit the play button super fast and keep pausing it you can see that he is out. when he slides his foot comes up and doesn't hit the bag. shuda went headfirst

  • shadow of the on the bag which means the foot is not touching the bag he is out if I'd have seen it live i'd have missed the call

  • safeeee !

  • To some - this might justify the title "you make the call". To an umpire, this isn't even close. No suspence ... he's out.

  • it's out the ball reach first maybe by 15 inches

  • hes out its a tie and tie dont goo to the runner1

  • @mandonalex yes he was out but tie does go to runner

  • @ARC3093 There is no such thing as a tie in baseball. A runner either beats the ball or the ball beats him. There is no rule in baseball that says anything close to a tie going to the runner. He is out here.

  • @ARC3093

The tie goes to the fielder. For real. Read the rulebook and you'll see that

"A runner shall be declared out when he fails to beat the ball to the base"

So if they both arrive at "Exactly" the same time - The runner is out.

MLB's official stance is that an 'exact' tie is almost impossible - hence the 'there are no ties in baseball'

  • OUT! For sure on a play like that keep your momenm going but dont run through because you dont slide since its a force out.

  • out,no doubt about it!!

  • Out!

  • out

  • his foot was above the bag instead of on it if he kept his foot down he wouldve been safe. OUT

  • out

  • if u stop it close to 4 hes out

  • out

  • stop it at 0:04 out by a little

  • out

  • Out by a mile.

  • out defnate by 3 or 5 inches

  • yup. out by like a couple inches maybe.

  • out.

  • close but he was out

  • The camera didn't really pan over in time for me to get a good look, but I'd have to say that he's out.

  • out but the 2nd baseman could of stretched a little more

  • Paused at :04 and he was out by a foot.

  • JUST out

  • He was out, barely.

  • Out.

  • if you call that safe get your eyes checked

  • Clearly out!

  • out, not doubt...the runner's leg which he was going to touch the bag with had not yet displayed it had made contact with the bag....and you can tell b/c the base had not 'jumped' yet from the contact of the runner....great angle on the play, great timing....great play, great call!

  • SAFE TIE GOES TO THE RUNNER

  • @boringcats wrong, there is no rule that says tie goes to the runner... Its the umpires descretion if he is safe or out...

  • @boringcats

The "tie goes to the runner" thing is a myth.

If you train to be a College or MLB umpire they tell you that there are NO TIES in baseball, he is either safe or out.

That being said, he appears to be out.
