Wasn't that most of the problem with Mush, Doug "Smokes Good" Wead(sic)? Mush was certain, yet he didn't have a sufficiently critical grasp of the facts in order to make informed decisions.

Well, the surge worked indeed but that does not justify the war itself. This is the best explanation for why we went in there. I think that the world senses this and could see if from a distance better than we could here in the USA. It is to our shame that so many innocent died. We should have stayed focused on Bin Laden.

Senator Obama was wrong. It turned out the surge did work, and it wasn't just a political problem.

Bush was sort of cocky...but then so is Obama. But Jimmy Carter showed that the only thing worse than a cocky President is one that is unsure of himself.
