Yeah...udaipur is one of the most beautiful cities in India...along with Mysore, it was the most appealing city I visited.

On the lake in Udaipur are also several very expensive five star hotels.... Also Octopussy may be popular there as most films are since India is the number one producer of films in the world... yes, most still in Hindi and most still from Mumbai. A boat trip on the lake and a tour of the Maharajahs palaces is unforgettable. They are know for their tiny art images.

Great viedeo. We were just there in March and the Lake Palace Hotel was wonderful! The staff really did treat us like royalty. There was plenty of water during this time so we were able to get out on the lake for the sunset. Well worth the cost.

just one more thing, watch out for cheats and robbers trying to make money out of you. they will probably charge you an obscene amount of cash for showing you around. so it's best if u do it yourself and stick in a group

that palace on water or whatever isnt like it's shown here. the water doesnt exist anymore so it's basically a dry muddy area with trash and dirt around it. the color of the place isnt even like it's shown.

if you can read, than do have tourism information before going to any place. Its clearly mentioned in the information given that water in the lake will be between September to march only. i also went in the same time and saw this beautiful palace in the lake with water

India would be a fascinating place to visit. Sure, India is a land of contrasts, especially with poverty & wealth. But the same could be said for the US or any other first world country. China is also another country of vast contrasts for the same reason. People need to understand that poverty has no boundaries. India should be proud of her efforts to improve things for her people. The video is a short piece that couldn't possibly do the town of Udaipur justice. It just focuses on the areas around the lake which gives it it's charm. The ghats are focal areas of any Indian city and this one is rather clean and the palaces are located directly on the lake. Your mouth, actually, is rather dirty and I'm not sure what the sexual orientation of this video has got to do with anything. I'm completely baffled why people such as yourself leave such rude and unconstructive comments.

Pressure them 2 spend it on infrastructure so that people can have decent lives.
