Just a little over a week left before I can sink my teeth into this. I'm new to this series, this would be the first MvC I've played *gasp* it should be interesting to say the least. Amaterasu For The Win!!!
i think the only added the amount of characters they did this time around is because they plan to get the fans a taste of the new game. you no add a few old players with updated moves, add a few new players with unique moves. since its not a lot of characters, they may use that as an excuse to make a mvc 4
the only thing that kills this game is there arent going to be as many characters than mvc2 and i heard they wur gonna put silver surfer and nemisis in the game but now arnt so yeah ... real bummer, but cant wait to get it !!!!!
Punisher, GhostRider... Until they bring them to it, this game is far from complete. I'd rather they work on this game for years then just bring it out with all this whack ass shit they are making for it. Its roster sucks worse than MVC2 and that's a degrade. Oh and if you cant argue your points correctly without saying smartass shit like cry more, than I feel even more right.
Its also incredibly stupid how they take out old characters like Cyclops, Psylocke, Rogue and Gambit... This game is going to be good, but its also going to be lacking. Hopefully they can fix all this in an expansion or DLC. Because I'm one marvel fan who's not happy at all with the roster on the Marvel side, as for Capcom, why would I give a shit about any of those clowns?

Taskmaster is a mercenary who has photographic memory/reflexes, and because of this, he can pick up the acrobatic moves and fighting styles of many of Marvel heroes, like Spider-Man, Daredevil, Hawkeye, Punisher, Black Knight, and Captain America. He can't copy superhuman abilities though, although he has shown the ability to have limited super speed before.

@DyteTheHedgehog1 Nope, sort of. He mimicked the moves of Cap and Spiderman, that much is right. But he didn't mimic from Arthur, he mimicked Punisher, Hawkeye, and Black Knight, as well as Cap and Spidey.
@DyteTheHedgehog1 Taskmaster's "power" is his perfect memory. As long as the technique lay within human limits he can duplicate it after seeing it once. He saw Spidey swinging around? Give him a rope and he'll do the same. Caught a glimpse of Cap's shield play. Right then and there he can match him.
taskmaster is a villian (marvel) with the ability of muscle memory (this means that he can copy any move or technique he sees). he has trained many and he is no opponet to mess with. i believe he even has the ability to beat wesker.
Don't forget Elektra, that's another thing I think is pathetic, no female superheros, outside of She Hulk, just X gals, which is great but, why no Marvel females like Scarlet Witch or Ms Marvel? They are fucking marvels side good, I think its cuz its capcom developing it and they have to make some lame marvel guys because their shit is so damn lame.
@HistorysMysterys i agree a little, capcom makes some strange characters and they dont want marvel overpowering them so they have to put people like Modok, and x-23 really? couldve atleast put lady deathstrike.
@CannibalGhost3 She would of been one of the many, just like Blink fro AOA who I thought would felt very well into this anime style game. She's one of the coolest characters in AOA. Or Punisher, or Daredevil, something popular and loved, MODOK is not popular and loved, and this is from a hardcore marvel fan.

Spiral, Silver Samurai, Omega Red, Blackheart, Marrow, and most notably, Shuma-Goddamn-Gorath. You don't like it? Then you're not a Marvel fan and you have no right to complain. Characters like Taskmaster, MODOK, Super-Skrull, and Dormammu make this roster awesome.

@HistorysMysterys It's not that they could'nt put them in there of course they could, but when objects on the screen eat more ram than it can handle it slows the game down. Fighters don't utilize filters or draw distances to allow things to be on screen at 60 FPS because it's not needed. You can get away with that in Halo and COD because even though your in a "world" everything is not loaded into memory from your exact position until you start moving towards those objects. Understand now?

Taskmaster seems like such a waste of a character slot. He is so lame and boring. I have no idea why so many people seem to love him. Only 2 supers and copying moves of characters that aren't even in the game seems like such a cop out. They could have done so much better than him. Copy characters can work if done right, just look at Mortal Kombat or even Soul Calibur (remember Edgemaster?) Seriously, Taskmaster can suck a bag-o-dicks. btw I'm glad Akuma still has Die a Thousand Deaths :P

Usually in the reveal trailers for each character, they show of everything the char has to offer (super wise I mean) Taskmaster only has the sword slash and that arrow super. yes he can do it in the air as well, but that doesn't count, nor should it. I hope I'm wrong and he has something that hasn't been shown, but I'm kinda doubtful.

@DanSheaMovieReviews Not true, they don't show all the supers. I know of a few characters that have been revealed (such as Dormammu) that didn't have their level 3s shown off.

@PsychoCrusher91 Well perhaps your imagination is just limited. He copys special moves, not powers I know, i read the comics. Ryu has a Hadoken but he also has a Shoryuken which is a physical move so he could Copy a Shoryuken, simple analogy.
Before this turns into a stupid flame war I also want to note that this is theory fighting and just my wish, and challanging me on that wish is pointless because it's my opinion. You may keep your own. I still stand by my thoughts on his special moves.

But I do understand that they are trying to put in new and different faces plus marvel trys to promote lesser known characters through this game as well so im not really complaining about who they put in, they all seem to have potential and it seems balanced. They did get some I wanted like thor, joe, arthur, haggar, dante, wesker, etc.
Taskmaster facts: - He is one of the 3 greatest assassins of marvel universe. - He can catch a bullet with his bare hands by quickly calculating the speed of the projectile and analysing the distance between him and the shooter. - He doesn't like water because he almost died in a pool when he was a child.So even if he knowns how to swim because of his move copy ability, he fears to do it because of his childhood trauma.

@DyteTheHedgehog1 Nope, sort of. He mimicked the moves of Cap and Spiderman, that much is right. But he didn't mimic from Arthur, he mimicked Punisher, Hawkeye, and Black Knight, as well as Cap and Spidey.

Give him a rope and he'll do the same. Caught a glimpse of Cap's shield play. Right then and there he can match him.

for all those who do not know:
taskmaster is a villian (marvel) with the ability of muscle memory (this means that he can copy any move or technique he sees). he has trained many and he is no opponet to mess with. i believe he even has the ability to beat wesker.

And just as I thought. People are complaining because they've never heard of Taskmaster, just like what happened with Haggar. You think this series has never had "obscure" characters in it? Spiral, Silver Samurai, Omega Red, Blackheart, Marrow, and most notably, Shuma-Goddamn-Gorath. You don't like it? Then you're not a Marvel fan and you have no right to complain. Characters like Taskmaster, MODOK, Super-Skrull, and Dormammu make this roster awesome.

@HistorysMysterys It's not that they could'nt put them in there of course they could, but when objects on the screen eat more ram than it can handle it slows the game down. Fighters don't utilize filters or draw distances to allow things to be on screen at 60 FPS because it's not needed. You can get away with that in Halo and COD because even though your in a "world" everything is not loaded into memory from your exact position until you start moving towards those objects. Understand now?

Taskmaster seems like such a waste of a character slot. He is so lame and boring. I have no idea why so many people seem to love him. Only 2 supers and copying moves of characters that aren't even in the game seems like such a cop out. They could have done so much better than him. Copy characters can work if done right, just look at Mortal Kombat or even Soul Calibur (remember Edgemaster?) Seriously, Taskmaster can suck a bag-o-dicks. btw I'm glad Akuma still has Die a Thousand Deaths :P

Usually in the reveal trailers for each character, they show of everything the char has to offer (super wise I mean) Taskmaster only has the sword slash and that arrow super. yes he can do it in the air as well, but that doesn't count, nor should it. I hope I'm wrong and he has something that hasn't been shown, but I'm kinda doubtful.

It would have made him so much more interesting if he had moves based on people in the game. I was simply saying that the concept of using him as a copy character would have been awesome, given his past in the comics, but in practice, they failed imo.

@PsychoCrusher91 Well perhaps your imagination is just limited. He copys special moves, not powers I know, i read the comics. Ryu has a Hadoken but he also has a Shoryuken which is a physical move so he could Copy a Shoryuken, simple analogy.
Before this turns into a stupid flame war I also want to note that this is theory fighting and just my wish, and challanging me on that wish is pointless because it's my opinion. You may keep your own. I still stand by my thoughts on his special moves.

Taskmaster facts: - He is one of the 3 greatest assassins of marvel universe. - He can catch a bullet with his bare hands by quickly calculating the speed of the projectile and analysing the distance between him and the shooter. - He doesn't like water because he almost died in a pool when he was a child.So even if he knowns how to swim because of his move copy ability, he fears to do it because of his childhood trauma.
