The only groups that provide anime openings are Buono, Tsukushima Kirari starring Kusumi Koharu, Kira Pika, Milky-Way and Berryz Koubo. That's six units out of at least 83 idol units in the Tsunku family. So, idol music, in fact, isn't mainly used in shoujo anime.
