This video reeeallly helped me, because I'm going to a MAC Counter next month to buy my first foundation. Also, as for the fan brush I saw an MUA spread foundation and blended it with a regular brush like the 190 and it was flawless. :)

When you wash the 226 does the color run on you? It's driving me crazy! I bought it directly from MAC so I'm kind of surprised that I'm having the color run.

I've been cleaning it with the sephora brush cleaner. Then I switched to MAC's cleaner and still had the problem. Maybe I should try cleaning it again with the MAC stuff, hopefully it got out its last color run.

That's so weird... I clean mine with my cetaphil cleanser and then the MAC cleaner.... maybe if you use a cleanser first it will get the remaining bleeding to go away.

Try Dr. Bronner's liquid castile soap (I use it in Peppermint). I had a 226 run the first time I washed it, but has not done so since.

Not sure if everyone knows this, but you have to wash you mac brushes before use. They use a fixative in the bristles to keep them together, plus the colour does run.

Have you ever tried the SIGMA brushes? These brushes have almost the same quality as MAC brushes, but they are cheaper! Some of these brushes are even better than MAC!

Some people love them and I heard other people say not so good things....

I have the essential face and eye kit and I love these! They're almost comparable to MAC! Only the 187 is not that dense as the MAC one, but it is still softer!

If you have the full set, not all of these brushes are that soft, but still good qualtity! The new 190 and 188 SS are good too, I heard.
