@epicfail2929 there have been real big ones in the last two coke zero 400's (2011 and 2010) but i do agree there haven't been as many wrecks and cautions recently, especially at the superspeedways and 1.5 mile tracks. as for the nns races... there are usually about 3 cautions every race (2 for debris, 1 for someone's flat tire or steven wallace wrecking)

Well, for 1, the COT's sturdier. It has a stronger body, and more safety features. Plus, it's mostly just a guess. The WAY older cars the had before the 90's didn't have a lot of saftey equipment, though, and with the crashes we now have, they can get hurt badly in those cars. Now maybe someone can get lucky enough to come out without a scratch, but the chance is remote.

Now I can't blame Kyle because I belive he would've been screwed if he hadn't dropped back, but I believe that at tracks like Daytona and Talladega, you've just got to floor it, especially that late in the race. At least one thing's for sure, we don't have any injuries in these big crashes no more.
