  • @acidfall00 you're so original!

  • haahha I saw her upskirt in the monitor's reflection

  • 19 people have macbooks (I have acer:P)

  • @MauriWantsU i hav toshiba...but macbook is much better then acer bro...isnt it? :P

  • @Jholchobi yeah :P

  • erm,may i know which 1 is better?

  • @OmerTheGreatOne perfect comment :):):)

  • SOMEBODY add a touch screen kit on it

  • it's a girl or a 11 year old fat english faggot?

  • Gaming????

  • i have an asus 1215n without the usb 3.0 ports but instead of the atom d510 i got the atom d525 dual core 1.8GHz and with 250GB harddrive. Also i had to flash the bios to get it to recognize 2x2gb ddr3 1066MHz memory instead of the 2x1gb ddr3 that came pre-installed. Still its an awesome netbook. I'm getting an external usb dvd burner to burn dvd's and cd and maybe watch movies...

  • what is the P/N for the 1215N

I cant find one that has the USB3 on it

  • I see something at 3:04 !!!

  • I just bought the Asus 1215n pu27, and it came with two hard disk drives. One has 99.9gb and the other has 350gb. And windows is on the 99.9gb drive. Is this normal?

  • @misterwooram It sounds like it has a 100GB SSD installed.. That's a good thing, if you didn't know (:

  • @misterwooram It can be either a single hard disk with 2 partitions or 2 hard drives (SSD). I highly doubt a small computer like this capable of containing 2 hard drives, especially when there are no 350gb SSD's, so there must be a hard drive with just 2 partitions.

  • 666!!!!!!!!!!!! press this button!!!!

  • Anybody got it lately ? I got it. Keyboard flex is almost gone and it comes with 2 usb 3.0 ports. Battery remains for 4hrs and not 5 has I was told. Fun is little bit noisy and there is also constant sound of processing data, little bit concern about it. Does anybody has same conditions ?

  • @jndpjndp where did you buy it? i am looking for the model with usb 3.0, some places sell with 2.0, others with 3.0.

  • @LemonPieLoL I bought it in NZ thru a webpage ( elivedotcodotnz) they imported it from Aussie.

  • @jndpjndp thanks. :)

  • @Playstation3Gamer10 GTA sanandreas ? you mean GTA IV ? o.O

  • for all you pervs just keep pressing 6

  • is the back metal or plastic?

  • Will this thing stream Netflix videos effectivly?

  • No way its a chick my nerd vein in my head just popped

  • too bad they didn't top it off with a matte display and screen bezel

  • Hello Glosie and Math :D

  • Aww, this is the older 1215N, the new one has 512mb dedicated ION2 graphics now and faster processor, just bought one on amazon because bank card/visa wouldn't accept newegg even though it was cheaper, got the 2gb more ram with it so it's a 4gb 512mb video and dualcore 1.8

  • cute girl that knows computers!!! pinch me im dreaming

  • gaming on a netbook are you really that stupid

  • @kris10ish Gaming on a 12.1' netbook with a 1.8 Ghz CPU and NVIDIA ION 2 512Mb video card and 2Gb of RAM, what's stupid about that? It's completely possible on Low-Medium settings, even on a lot of current gen games.

Perfect for vacations when you don't wanna bring along a 9 pound laptop. =P

  • @SilverJigGames did i say that i dont rememeer i sometimes game on a note book 15 inch but i like to build i didnt mean to say that and you go on vacation with a lapotp to GAME wtf thats a bit sad LOL

  • @kris10ish I'm just saying that some people might like too.

Besides, you go on a vacation to have fun, and you play games to have fun, so how is it sad to do both? =P

And yeah, I know where you're coming from, if someone complains that you can't game on an average netbook then I'd probably called them stupid too! xD But this is a "high performance" netbook so it's kinda made to handle light gaming. =P

  • @SilverJigGames yeah i have an ati hd 4200 2.20 ghz im building my own high end pc with a graphics card but i got crysis and i can play it very smooth 25 fps maybe more sometimes 40 and i looked it up on google and people were saying theres no way it will even start i laughed at them they even sayd teh 240 gt is the best lol

  • @kris10ish I have a i5-750/GTX 460 rig that I built from the money I earned last summer, haha. It plays Crysis/Crysis Warhead maxed out no problem. =]

My laptop has a 2.0Ghz Core 2 Duo, and intergrated graphics, it can't even play the first Portal game on lowest settings without lag. xD

  • @RedTellus is dat soo

  • very helpful review, thx <3

  • 7keypad for netbooks , tablets, smartphones. 7keypad.com

  • 1215n have 3.0 port

  • This netbook gets quickly dirty by fingerprints. If you want to have a clean netbook you have to often wipe clean the netbook.

  • @RedTellus Fail

  • 0:28 Hi Glossy and Matt!

  • Watch in HD for extra Netbook Upskirt Action NUA!

  • @RedTellus BAHAHAHAHAHAHAH yea l don't have to money to get one :(

  • I NEED SOMEONES HELP which is the best out of the asus 1215T 1215N 1215P like which has the best specs and like the ups and downs and which is the winner out of all of the ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!/

  • buy this POS now or wait a few days until ANUS will release more new netbooks? another day, another netbook from this company.

  • this is not the north american model, is it? amazon does not list 1215n with usb 3.0 ports.

  • why would a portugese version comes with bt and usb 3.0? but in the usa no bt, no usb 3 :( sad.

  • What a cute voice. Thanks for the great review.

  • Love this nettop, but i liked you also, u have a pretty face.

  • the glossy i hate cause my asus eee pc 1201n is full of scratches :(

  • the newst 1201n has the same enter key as 1215n, nice video \o

  • Thank you! Exactly what I was looking for.

  • Comment removed

  • What flight sim game is that?

  • thanks for the vid. Ive got the 1201 and im thinking of selling mine and upgrading to the 1215. Decisions, decisions...

  • I just bought mine in silver off amazon.com $130 less than any other place, silver only, I will make videos when I get it

  • great review !i havent had any luck finding one where can you buy them?

  • 3:03 and 3:04 were very nice...

  • I've been looking for an inexpensive way to play WoW portably and this seems to be the best solution

  • The US version does not come with USB 3.0

  • awesome thanks for the vid

  • The privacy shutter seems totally unnecessary and an ugly design decision. The power plug on the 1215N is also tiny/weak/fragile for some absurd reason, and quite a few failures are being reported. The inclusion of USB 3.0 and Bluetooth in some 1215N models but not others leaves me wondering what is going on.I like the matte finish, and but wish it extended to the display also! I might wait and see what evolutions next year brings -and hope for an improved UL20- before upgrading just yet :(

  • @SlagarNZ yes what's the deal with usb 3.0 and power plugs with this 1215. next year ANUS will fix something and downgrade or fuck up something else. you'll never have it perfect. not with ANUS.

  • i've been looking for this usb 3.0 version!!

  • Where did you get the version with USB 3.0? Also, does this one comes with Bluetooth 3.0 as well?

  • Now how well does this run tf2?

  • Is this the best $500 netbook on the market right now?

  • Does anyone have one of these? Can anyone tell me if it really does last even 5 hours when web surfing?

  • Counter strike runs well?

  • Where can I get the 1215n with the USB 3.0

  • gad damit, ive just bought 1201 just month ago and now 1215 i can get it cheaper than i bought 1201 on.

  • How fast does it startup?

  • @KittyNoire High end? LOL I run Oblivion at 400 FPS

  • Can I play with this EEE at CSS you think?

  • @1:29

    Çok daha mat belli.

  • @scooter1151 Thanks for the reply. I'm not so sure about the SSD. I've did some net research on the machine, most websites states that this asus 1215n, unfortunately does not have a SSD installation option.

  • Very nice GIRL!!!

  • This looks good but I would like more battery life than 6* hours (ie 4.5 hours in reality), even if it's a bit bulkier. I have a 1000HE which suits my needs apart from the small screen, and has 9* hours battery life. Asus, why can't you put all the good stuff in one machine?

  • @j00ztube It has a dual-core processor, making it much faster than the 100HE. Also, a dedicated video card, which allows it to play 3d games MUCH better than other netbooks. 6 hours vs 9 hours is a small price to pay (especially when you're rarely away from a power source for more than 6 hours).

  • Hi there,

Does the machine comes with window 7 Home premium 32-bit or do we have to upgrade ourselves to a 64-bit os?

Simillarly does the machine comes in a 2GB RAM installed or do we need to upgrade it to 4GB RAM ourselves?

    AND

Does is support SSD instead of a HDD?

Hope to see a reply soon!

    Thanks!

  • @woshiprozzz 32-bit and 2GB DDR3 RAM

    and yes, it should.

  • @woshiprozz The ASUS 1215N, if you order it from NCIX or Newegg, comes with 2GB of DDR3 800MHz RAM and Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit. There is absolutely no reason to install a 64-bit operating system unless you are using more than 4GB of RAM.

All netbooks support a SSD, as they use standard 2.5in. hard drives. This model supports 2-platter HDDs, meaning all 2.5in hard drives will fit. SSDs are the same size.

So yes, it will fit. And yes, you will have to put in the 4GB of RAM.

  • Cute girl methinks.

  • What camera do you have :)

  • @minipcpro can you verify that there are no other models, like any other alter models? Because I need to be sure if it has USB 3.0 / ION 2 / and that different processor, It really does matter.

Were or which model is specificity for the USB 3.0?

  • @AiDz0r All 1215Ns come with this. The ASUS site, I believe, has the asterisk to tell you that not all 12xx series come with the USB 3.0. As far as I know, however, all 1215Ns come with USB3.0 and ION2. No ASUS 12xx series from now on will come with the 1st Generation ION GPU, I don't believe. It's become obsolete, and ASUS doesn't like obsolete. =P

  • would this run borderlands good?

  • @xxxkilAxxx123 Should run fine! The 1201N could run Crysis on Low/Medium at playable framerates. Borderlands doesn't need much compared to Crysis, so it should play at medium/high perfectly fine.

NVIDIA ION2 paired with a dual-core Atom CPU? May not be as powerful as an Intel Core 2 Duo or i5, but hey... this thing is definitely worth it.

  • Did you say this has USB 3.0 ports? I could only find the model with 2.0, but the processor is a D525... Do you know why that is?

  • How do I get the 1215N with USB 3.0, here in the US Asus only shipped USB 2.0

I have the 1201N but I would love to upgrade to the 1215N but why settle for 2.0

  • I'm not a perv, but at the 4 minute mark I'm sure i saw a black thong!

  • @MrProliferate LMFAO

  • I want to buy a netbook like this for internet surfing, movies in 720p and games like PES2010, you´ll recomended it? thanks!

  • @lmartinez285 get the CoreAVC codec pack for the movies and they'll run smoothly. For games its up to you. I play half life 2 at 1366x768, 2xAA, all settings to high, reflections to simple and Trilinear filtering and i get aroung 30fps. 15-20 when outdoors with alot going on. I recommend oonly playing older games until better drivers comes out.

  • How about something like Counter-Strike: Source? Would it be able to play that? Even on the minimum settings?

  • @stiggy1605 no doubt, my old laptop from 2 years ago that has integrated graphics runs counter strike source maxxed out

  • @hockeystud999 My two year old laptop with integrated graphics runs CS1.6 at about 20FPS on min settings, and Source at about 10 on min settings.

  • any word on the actual battery life?

  • @wajeeh007 I'd say don't keep the AC cord out. It is a great table machine. But it lasted for 2 3dmark06s, 4 hours of folder organizing in Win 7, and 1 hour of idle, and the battery was 7 %.

  • I received my 1215N on 19th August in Turku. I made a video review but WMV didn't convert to AVI and I gave up. The battery is great, the processor is 20 % weaker than Dell D520 1600 Dual Core, the ION2 gives 2700 3dmarks06, and it can eat 4 Gb x 1 modules. The screen is HD and very sharp. Speakers are louder than D520. The AC adapter is very tiny! The 1215N is small and light. Almost perfect minilaptop for today's needs.

  • @teemuruskeepaa is it a release version?

  • It's August 24th and it's still not out. Any news?

  • @iamtheownage i know right but still waiting

  • Wish this thing would come out in the USA already. Asus is going to miss the back to school rush.

  • @qball0203

I should begin shipping on or around August 23rd.

  • lol you think this thing can run 3DS Max or Auto desk programs haha

  • ugly music at 3d mark test :/

  • I'm looking for a laptop that can run games and movies in 1080p on my 32 inch LCD. I don't care so much about battery life or screen size, I basically just want a powerful laptop/netbook that is affordable. Would the 1215 be better the 1201N or the 1201PN?

  • @Sil3ntNoob i am going for the 1215n. it has ion 2. the latest graphics and better battery life.

  • @Sil3ntNoob n00b! Buy a nettop.

  • lol a bit OCD but it was a great help

  • When will I be able to buy this in The Netherlands?

  • Asuuuuseeee

  • I' having a really hard time to decide whether I should get the Eee PC 1201PN with ION 2 but only a 1.66GHz single-core CPU, or getting this new 1215N with a dual-core and ION 2. I say this because I read that the new 1215N says it has DDR RAM instead of DDR2 or DDR3 and that kinda concerns me. What do you think I should get?

  • BULKY HINGES!!! D:

  • isn't it the Atom D525? not the 510?

  • any thoughts on how SC2 would perform on it?

  • @erikrei I estimate around 30 fps at medium settings.

  • @erikrei A Germany IT-Magazine tested SC2. They say, it runs, but only with lowest graphic settings. But it runs. Try SC2 on any other netbook. ;-)

  • What model is this exactly, because watching other 1215n videos shows the 1215n with USB 2.0 on all ports and a full size Enter key.

    I am so confused! :S

  • @god4488 WHAT! I need this by the end of September for my class work :-(

  • @god4488 U r right! i knew of the Alienware but i forgot about them cause they are too expensive, but yea this netbook will cost about $500 or about £400.

  • Do you know what this computer scores in 3Dmark 06 :)?

  • nive girl!

  • can this smootly old games like half life2

  • i think there is a serious possibility of them not making enough of these and it becoming a bit of nightmare to get a hold of one. a LOT of buzz is building on this beast. do ASUS have stores in the US you can queue up outside to buy? i'd do an overnight for this baby...

  • Is there a way to disable the optimus in bios? or is there a way to just enable the nvidia and not the on board gma 3150 graphics?

  • nice upskirt @3:44

  • will this notebook be able to run the game Elderscrolls Oblivion at a smooth rate without any problems?

  • @jloo222 no, sorry. the cpu is too weak

  • @minipcpro That sucks. Are there any netbooks that can handle that game?

  • @jloo222

@minipcpro The specification required by oblivion on the box requires a 2GHz pentium 4 or equivalent may i draw your attention to the atircle on system requirements on the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages. This states equivalents as low as a Pentium M 740 1.73GHz which is also a single core. I'm presuming but pretty confident the Intel Atom D525 dual core running at 1.8 GHz(see amazon uk) will be able to run Oblivion. t

Tip - don't start comparison vids comparing colours.

  • @5731n Yeah, and the new architecture of the D525 should be 2 times faster than the Pentium 4.

  • @minipcpro I suppose this is an opinion or an induction without real tests. The benchamrks of the ASUS 1201N in 3DMark 03 is something like 1/5,1/4 and more lower than the one of the 1215N but in youtube there are lot of videos where games like Crysis, Fallout 3,Modern Warfare 2 runs very smooth (more than 30fps) on Asus 1201N without much tweak. One Oblivion 1201N video speaks about a 20-25 constant framerate but i think the guy of that video is far from a serious geek optimizer

  • @magagnomagagni most of those vids is made by connecting the laptop to a stationary pc so it mostly is just that the game itself is running on their main pc and thus req less of the laptop. are you sure that wasnt what youre talking about?

  • @dragonsloves i don't think we are talking about the same thing. In youtube there are lot of videos of people that runs the game in the netbook. We are not talking about streaming services like MojoPac or StreamMygame but pure, direct run in ASUS 1201N with a bit of tweaking in the settings.

  • @minipcpro sorry but i have the ion1 version with n280 and it plays oblivion fine without the texture sizes maxed out :)

  • @minipcpro Lies, my 1201n easily handles Edlerscrolls Oblivion. You must be doing something severely wrong minipcpro.

  • @jloo222 this could run run elder scrolls oblivion at a smooth rate

  • @KidWonder101

cool thanks, but why did that other guy say the CPU is too weak?

  • @jloo222 well actually if you put everything on low it should work although it might lag alittle but it shouldn't too much

  • @jloo222

Yah, it should play it. The sys req's for elder scrolls are not that stringent by today's gaming standards and keep in mind its a dual core processor not a single core.

You'll most likely have to tweak it a bit and you won't be running with killer frame rate but it will play the game nonetheless.

  • @jloo222 I ran Alien Arena but Moonbase Alpha crashed.

  • @jloo222

Just tried it out, it runs quite nice on low to medium settings

  • It switch between ION and Intel GMA 3150 automatic? or can you manually set it?

  • @josecarlo408 it's automatic

  • @minipcpro Is there any way to disable the optimus?

  • @minipcpro It is however you set it. It can be automatic or manual. The user just has to hold down the function key and hit the space bar to toggle between different levels of performance.

  • @josecarlo408 i hope so... that's where Optimus comes in...

  • August 23rd needs to get here NOW!

  • Comment removed

  • wow, that touchpad looks so nice and big. only thing we need on this thing is battery life results and we are golden
