However the way you modelled (especially with soft image) is similar to my extrude and resize technique, but it seemed like it was more efficient and easier to get down details like grooves and smooth rounding. Do you have any tutorials i could go find? It would of been better if I could of had you as a teacher, I would be asking so much questions right now and i don't wish to pester you XD
@UltimateIyawesome not to mention I don't have 60 bucks to spare on your tutorials for in-depth information, on 3DS max as well. (what I use). Seeming how Great your free tutorials are I wish I wasn't 16 (with in fact 4 years of experience on my hand) and had a job, your tutorials could jump start me to what I really want do. Human and complex object modelling. I had to home school my self, and my goal is to model a 3D model of an anime character I thought up, however its proving to be hard.
@xFoKe Hi, thanks for the kind words. I actually made some production modeling training for Softimage and other software on our site; i3DTutorials(dot)com
@FoxHoundUnit89 What do you mean? It's just an overview video of me working on this asset, it's not meant to be some in depth training product for content creation.
@FoxHoundUnit89 Well like with anything else, it takes time. I didn't just open a 3D package one day and started created professional assets for games and film. I actually started doing this as a hobby (by accident) like 7 years ago. I was really bad at it, at first. I liked it so much that I continued to do it late at night, when I wasn't working or going to school (college). Now I do it as my full time job. It's lots of fun, just have to keep doing it- you get better and faster eventually.
Wow. I'm a big modeller my self..

What's the difference with SoftImage to 3DS Max?
DvT093 8 months ago
@DvT093 Well they're just different 3d packages, like saying a Ford and Chevy. However, I would describe Softimage more as a Nissan GTR V-SPEC :)

Errrh what are you going for here? its not low enough for beeing a blockout model, but no way near the derail of a lowpoly?
TheVisceral89 8 months ago
@TheVisceral89 Of course it's not low enough to be a blockout; cuz it's not...
It's a game model, with thousands triangles.
