Beautiful pictures. I did the same coastal hike along Third Beach. I hope to return to the area soon and hike through Hoh. Your pictures are GORGEOUS.
Olympic NP would be my 2nd favorite stomping grounds. North redwoods is my 1st. But hoping to spare most of one years out of state hikes down the line, for just Olympic NP. Probably 2014.
Hey, I really like your video and I was wondering if you could basically outline your backpacking trip and the route you chose. I am from Houston, TX and am planning a trip there in late May for 4-5 days. Any help would be extremely appreciated. Thanks :)
As beautiful as the pics are, they don't do it justice. We just got back from there tonight and it is amazing! The Hoh Nat Rain Forest is awesome and you MUST hike the VERY short hike of the "Hall of Mosses"! And for God Sake bring a camera and video camera! Take lots of pictures. Though after seeing it in real life, it's hard to look at the pictures. =)
Thanks so much for your young feet! Your back is wonderfully strong!! I know, having been on these hikes over 40 years ago when I took it for granted I would always be able to see such miracles. Now I get to look thru your camera!! Bless you. . .
i have done the sol duc hike, i am looking to do a beach hike this year. in june we are doing the sundown lake hike from South Fork Skokomish. this will be the 3rd time on this trail. we did this hike in 1 day last year. the 16 miles in and out is hard in 1 day!
We go in March, what should we exspect? In order to see the bears are there tour guides or just trails?

If you think the Olympics are beautiful--and they are--, then you ought to check out North Cascades!!

North California, west Oregon and west Washington probably have the best forests in the nation.
I've been in the redwoods hiking for 3 years now. GOOGLE THIS:
mdvaden + Grove of Titans Redwoods
Having moved back north to Beaverton again just two weeks ago, my plan is to to into the Olympic National Park several times next autumn and winter.
