  • I never stop loving to watch this...but have to say you did the VERY BEST JOB on this game winner that I have ever seen!

  • Tracy Porter's interception in the Super Bowl was good, but I will never forget this homerun. Hawthorne was great in this video. ESPY of the decade for '90 to '00.

  • The greatest moment in CWS history period.

  • Best CWS moment EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! Geaux Tigers!

  • God is an LSU fan :D

  • okiejoky: yes it was alex cora. joey cora played for the mariners at the time

  • is that alex cora #13?

  • As a Miami fan I remember where I was watching this game. We were ready to celebrate a national title and then warren morris absolutely deflates the entire room. Crazy ending. Great video.

  • It doesn't matter who you normally root for........if this doesn't give you goosebumps, you are dead. AWESOME

  • @ttooooll24 agreed!!!!!

  • This is EASILY the best LSU CWS '96 vid out there! Having Hawthorne's call puts it over the top! Make sure you get Hawthorne's call when we win it Tuesday!

  • one game down, ONE TO GO

  • When Rosenblatt Stadium goes I hope they will make a mark where that ball landed when the zoo takes it over.

  • Thanks for sharing this video! I remember where I was....in an apartment with a bunch of other Tiger fans and when he hit this home run, I slid across the carpet and scraped up my knees! Thanks for the memories!

  • The Warren Morris homerun still gives me chills and I am definitely NOT an LSU fan. I remember watching that game and there was just something about that homerun, kind of like the Kirk Gibson homerun, like it just came out of nowhere. A guy no one had ever heard of or thought much of, w/ 2 outs, bottom 9, vs a great closer, down by one and he cranks it JUST over the wall. Still amazes me everytime I watch it once a year.

  • @howarjo1943 A little correction there... Warren Morris was actually one of the better players on the team. He was invited to play on the US Olympic team as well. He had been injured if I remember correctly, with a sprained wrist. He had recovered enough to begin playing again. I think he might have been their lead-off hitter actually, or close to the top of the order. (But I'm going on memory here.)

  • And then after this nobody ever heard of him again...

  • And nobody would care if you had never been born.

  • I'm just saying i dont remember seeing him in a pack of Topps or on MLB 2k lol...don't take life so seriously

  • Played for the Pirates and Rangers. Do your homework.

  • I think he broke back into the majors with Detroit a few years ago too, but I'm not certain.

  • you are an idiot

  • i'm an LSU fan, but I also find this funny. i think it just makes the moment even more awesome in retrospect, really, that a guy without much of a name did it.

  • man nice video

  • dude he does have "the eye of the tiger " there. this fuckin pumps me up

  • That gives me chills everytime I watch it, and I am not even an LSU fan.

  • Warren Morris missed most of the season with an injured right hand too.
