@draftvet: I am sure you treat your cat well. I didn't mean to attack you. The eyes on the back were really funny! But still you have to know that this short tail is not a good one. It is Japanese breeders that shortened it artificially through selective breeding. I think that is a sad thing. A cat's tail has the long length because it needs exactly that long length, you know. Otherwise natural cats wouldn't have such a long tail.

@draftvet Some cats are born that way, you can't help that. Other cats are altered, and I have one right now that way. She came to our doorstep as a kitten and only had half a tail. It looked like the tail had gotten run over by something. Half the tail was all brown, and the other half black fur. The tail kept dropping off in pieces and wasn't healing, so when I had her spayed I had the vet make her a stub tail and suture it up. So now she looks like a manx cat only black and white.

Man, these cat breeds they like in Japan are sure defect. The tail is way too short, not to speak of the nasal problems.
