when i set the .gif file as desktop, it doesnt move (or loop) it is just the first frame.

so sorry about the info .. just installed vista and indeed gifs doesn't work in vista as animated backgrounds :( sorry

you can instead save them as html file and view the file in the background .. will make a video about it soon

try checking if your desktop is active

right-click anywhere on your screen, go to properties-desktop-customize desktop-web then disable all checked boxes
