I used to ride broncs... and never saw a horse being abused. If anyone takes abuse its the cowboys.. but they do so willingly. But man is roughstock have to be the 3 most intense sports in the world....
the horses arent hurt... i go to rodeos almost every weekend and i see bronc ridin every time. most of the time the horses are taken better care of than the riders... theyre bred to buck. they love doin it too

For cryin out loud! You know those horses are spoiled rotten! They want them to buck, and keep bucking, sooo they are groomed fed trimmed hooves, the works. And what do they do for a livin? Well they buck for 8 seconds then they get a good pat on the back for doing it!!! They luv bucking people off, then being spoiled, a horses life.
if the horse was in pain, peta would be all over their ass and plus, they don't train these horses - only some - most are just not broke and yes, they pinch them but it is proven that it doesn't cause them pain, only mild irritation
and the point was that in the wild west, way before this time the only transport was horses and the only way to break them was to just hop on a saddle and wait until they tired
