dont buy this pedal it is a piece of shit. the overdrive isn't bad but the reverb is unusable. it just does not stop popping no matter how much you turn down the reverb or how soft you play. The reverb sounds like a really bad reverb tank that someone keeps kicking every few seconds

Well I used to own this crappy pedal and it sure as hell does not sound like that. It sucks bass bigtime, the reverb sucks ass cheeks, the tremolo is a pain to control speed with the pedal tap. should have used a knob for speed. sucks batteries like a delay pedal. Do not buy it unless just for a collector piece because it is a piece. (of shit) couldn't sell it fast enough.

there's plenty of ways to get a jazzy sound.

the boss fmb-1 would be a better pedal for getting a jazz tone.

an eq pedal will make things easier, be careful which eq pedal you choose, some are noisy.

also, picking the right guitar will help you get a jazzy tone, like a hollow body guitar.

overall, a jazzy tone is usually very mellow, big on mids and bass, low on the highs, high mids, etc.

I think the knob is sposed to simulate the tubes breaking up - which they start to do after around 6 on most deluxe reverbs.

Checked it out. This pedal isn't so good. The reverb has no touch sensitivity at all. The whole pedal sounds very "modelled" too. If it was cheaper it'd be OK, but not for the price.

Love Phil Gates though. Awesome player. Great vids to watch. Good turd polisher!
