A lot to see! Another great museum is in Tucson, AZ. They also have an Avro Shackleton parked behind the fence. I managed to find a documentary on this RAF Bomber. It has 4 engines with 8 counter rotational props.
wow i went there in 09 and nothing has really changed except the ceilings and the walls are black now. and there is lights positions to give the planes a cool spotlight affect.
i'm going there tomorrow with my class i'm excited i've been there before but umm..well i got to get in a real airplane there but we didn't ride in it but i saw lots of manakinz they freak me out they just stare at you!
@darklion53 Is the B-36 peacemaker still there? The biggest plane they had in the hanger with its 6 props and 4 jet engines!!! I went here with my parents back in 1985 when i was little. And I see some of the same planes and exibits that was still there back then. WOW!!! Is the XB-70 still parked outside, with its 6 jet engines? The big white jet...
Great footage. I visited there in May 2008 and as an Aussie I felt like I was a young boy in a lolly shop. All those aircraft that I had read about and watched in videos and I was right up close . Lighting is poor but perhaps that is to preserve the aircraft paint.
I agree, I was there earlier this week. I tried to film with my digital camcorder, and it was a total wreck. I am putting up the videos one by one, just 2 are done at the moment, I'll probably have another 5 or 6 by the time it's done. It was a real eye opener for my son. He's now obsessed with playing flight simulator.
