you do realize that animals are generally NOT butchered alive, correct? At least in America. They are usually put down humanly. How is a dog any different from a pig? or cattle? It isn't. Not every vegetarian thinks meat is murder. There are a few other reasons one might choose a vegetarian lifestyle:
1. To lower the amount of fat in one's diet
2. To make a statement about the negative impact that the mass production of animal byproducts makes on the environment and the people who produce it
3. They simply don't like the taste or texture of meat
4. The need to mass produce meat means the animals are often injected with chemicals that may have an affect on human health if consumed

With the rampant starvation in the world it seems wasteful to use land to produce meat. The same land could turn out much more vegetable crops.
Of course with new scientific breakthroughs this wont always be the case. It may end up being the most efficient position to eat myoblast meat.

If you go to goole and put in Matt Groening and religion, this is what he was quoted as saying "Technically, I'm an agnostic " And you used the word "hippies"---that is the point I'm trying to make. If someone has compassion for animals and chooses to not eat them, they are automatically branded a "tree-hugger" or "hippy". That is no more fair or accurate than calling a meat-eater a "murderer"---yet meat-eaters do it all the time on here.

I am a vegan, but i do find this song vary funny. What i do not find funny is when people use it to insult vegetarians/vegans. it is vary hurtful when people make a rash generalization of a group of people doing something for a moral value. I would NEVER EVER say that all meat eaters should die out and that they are all retarded and evil. but it seams as if everyone is saying that about vegetarians. agree with us or not, just dont be so mean. The ALF is considered a terrorist group, in fact the #1 civilian terrorist group in the nation. However, it is against their code to harm ANY human or animal. they did use to be violent though, but never as far as fire bombing, burning down factory farms and such.

you do realize that animals are generally NOT butchered alive, correct? At least in America. They are usually put down humanly. How is a dog any different from a pig? or cattle? It isn't. The only reason we see it "bad" to eat them is we have domesticated them for work and companionship for years. It is perfectly logical to eat them, as they are simply another animal.

I appreciate your logical statements, instead of sarcasm. IF humans NEED meat so survive, AND IF humans kill animals HUMANELY for food, it follows that "dogs" (shudder) are just another animal to eat. This makes sense if the first two premises are true.
But: 1. Humans don't need meat to live. 2. Animals are treated inhumanely.
Therefore the mass slaughtering of millions of innocent animals is wrong and inhumane.

Our teeth clearly prove we are omnivores. Granted this does not prove we have to eat meat, the fact that we need animal proteins (and some vitamins) to develop properly should prove it - you might think you are developed enough when your mom stops feeding you her milk, your choice :)
BTW:what about milk, eggs or fish?
Stop eating bread, cheese, cake, everything with gelatine, fish oil, vitamin pills (those were tested on animals before being put on the market) or stop being such a hypocrite

The fact that we can eat just about anything, including meat, is very handy, from a biological point of view. But the fact that we're able to doesn't mean that we're designed to. The evidence for this is that our biology is similar to that of other herbivores.

And out long intestines clearly prove that we are not. I think that we can eat meat but we dont have to. I am a vegan so i dont eat any animal products like milk eggs or fish (vegetarians who eat fish are hypocrites correct) but there is vegan cake, bread(vary common!!! Ill send a pic of my breads ingredients if you want lol) and you can find a list of cruelty free (not tested on animals) products online. We do not need animal proteins to develop properly.

Primitive man's brain could developso quickly because of the meat we ate. The dark ages were ruled by diseases and starvation, untill people could grow enough crops to feed animals, and eat their meat. Their immune systems improvedand they had more energy
