  • He is such a good player. But I have to say his skills heavily lie in his performance ability. His writing isn't bad, but it's not outstanding. He just writes stuff for him to show off to, and that's good strategy to play to his strengths, but still the writing is just not as amazing as his playing.

  • The music is easy so many different groups of different strengthes can play it...I sight-read the third movement with him...

  • He doesn't like playing things like Hummel, Haydn, and such because they probably bore the heck out of him. He definitely enjoys things like this.

  • You should hear the 2nd movement. I bought Jens Lindemanns recording because I heard the 1st movement with Vizzutti & Syracuse Symphony on NPR. Technically astounding, but the middle section of the suit is hauntingly beautiful!

  • I agree, the second movement is wonderful. Jens is playing it with my school's wind ensemble tomorrow night. He's also playing Hunsberger's Carmen Fantasy with our trumpet professor.

  • Yeah Shinkansen is the third movement of this suite "The Rising Sun." Jens Lindeman also has a great recording of it.

  • Or the Bullet Train

  • it's called Shinkansen, from his album Vizzutti Plays Vizzutti (he wrote all of this stuff himself)

  • i wish i coulld download this song!!
