  • Batman jumping on top of the police cars is a badass scene that shouldn´t have been cut off from the movie, its so Noir.. what was Nolan thinking by cutting that?

  • I remember seeing this Harvey Dent/ Two-Face tease...so excited at the time! Can't wait for a trailer/footage of TDKR!

  • never seen this video before, awesome

  • Never again in my lifetime will i see a trailer bit that will excite me as much as 1:50 did when i first saw it three years ago

  • theres nothing to extend nolan used every scene expect one in the movie the rest are some 2 second shots and different angles that wern't in it.

  • @VideoWatcher3012 I find that hard to believe as at the end Gordon said Dent killed five people yet we only see him kill 2, 3 if you count Maroni (if he died, which is likely), 2 of them cops (we only see one cop killed).

  • @nikebball ya its strange alright may be a plothole or dent is getting the blame for the joker killing the cop at the hospital =/

  • @VideoWatcher3012 it's too sloppy to be a plothole. there are scenes that were deleted. no movie has zero deleted scenes. and the guy who played gamble even said in an interview most of his stuff got cut out.

  • @nikebball Nolan was asked about by fans. He answered: This is a story for another time. So obviously with TDKR we will get the answer.

  • My favorite Batman movie

  • This is great

  • My favorite Dark Knight trailer, the score goes so well with the scenes

  • nice job.! will watch this in webmovietube

  • Best movie of 2008

  • Ahh the Dark Knight, you know it really raised the bar for superhero movies

  • That footage @ 1:01 of Batman leaping from car to car. Was that even in the final cut?

  • @dumbestname Nope, neither was the shot of Wayne and Dent touching glasses, the shot of the tumbler speeding outta the cave was cut out, as was the suit rising outta the floor, theres also many alt takes in this too

  • I was one of the fortunate few who saw this at Wizard World Chicago in 2007. We only had one crappy picture of the Joker that anyone knew how he was going to look, but no one expected what we saw here. You immediately got the sense of how intense and amazing both his performance and the film were going to be. Truly one of the most exciting days of my life.

    Thank you, Christopher Nolan.

  • @ryantmurphy87 at 1:40, it's soooo noticeably an extended scene of the two of them talking about the heist on rachel, ramirez, and maroni's fated chance. FOR OUR SAKE CHRIS NOLAN, MAKE THE EXTENDED VERSION ALREADY, PLEASE!!!!!!

  • notice at 1:24 when Batman spashes the joker head into the window no glass smashes or cracks they must have added it in later on with GC LOOOLl!

  • That movie shows you not fantasy, it shows you how the will be in a few years!

"he wanted to proof that even someone as good as you could fall" I think that says everything

  • theres a few shots that i didn't see in the movie

the batsuit rising from the floor

the tumbler peeling out of the cave

    batman running ontop of cars

  • The first time I watched this I nearly pissed myself when Dent said, "half."

    E.P.I.C.

  • I fucking love this movie, a hero's struggle with madness and chaos, a two-faced white knight fighting against corruption and an evil psychopath that would change things... forever

  • @sparky332 you can download this at tubemusicdownload com

  • Man, I really wish I could see the scene where Batman is jumping over those police cars...

  • That scene is just him running to his bat pod after the joker tells him where Rachel and Dent are. its not a scene.

  • Either way, thats a bit of footage I've never seen. And I'd like to see it where it would have been in the movie.

  • I'm beginning to think that they were just on set and Nolan was like, "We need random footage for the trailer, Batman jump over police cars!"

  • LOL! That wouldn't surprise me at all.

  • i really really really wish i saw Begins in the Cinema, i went to see The Dark Knight at the cinema like 6 times lol, amazing experience

  • SAme here, I didn't see BB in theater but TDK 6 times ! And many more in dvd.

  • I've been a Batman fan all of my life and I grew up with the comics, the toys, the Burton films, EVERYTHING. Batman Begins was a classic, but The Dark Knight is a masterpiece and it's my child-hood dreams come true. It's exactly what I had been reading in the comics: the struggle Bruce Wayne has with keeping the Batman identity and the level of madness it brings to the city by drawing anarchists like the Joker. TDK is a perfect film that will always be close to my heart, so:

    TDK>BB

    Love both!

  • Begins is epic, The Dark Knight is epic, the end

  • its all Myotis from the begins soundtrack

  • from :49 to the end, what is the name of the song?

  • what;s the song of this trailer called?

  • Was this part cut out of the film at 1:02?

  • Kinda glad I didn't see any of that footage before I saw the entire film. If I were a fan at Wizard World, I would feel like I saw too much.

But anyhow, that was a year ago. Here's to a third film in this franchise!!

And The Dark Knight is not the most overrated film of all time....it's one of the best films of all time. Don't be mad at that.

  • um no thated be the transformers movies

  • Ha ha, you're a fucking dipshit.

  • ¿OMG a Dark Knight nuthugger that's the best you got? You stupid troll, if you don't like it you don't watch it, simple as that. Every real Batman fan know this is better.

  • No no, see it's the other way around. People that dislike the Dark Knight are a minority, and you can't change that, not even with all your hate comments.

  • TDK>BB always

  • I wasn't a Batman fan (blame a certain film for that) until I saw Begins, and I was vastly impressed. To this day I love that movie, but The Dark Knight is better. Much better acting, better editing, better themes etc. I wasn't even looking forward to The Dark Knight all that much, just felt that Heath Ledger's death would distract me as I watch the film, but it didn't. Begins is brilliant but The Dark Knight is even better.

  • 1 year anniversary tomorrow

  • looks like the joker's dancing with Rachel at 1:16 :).

  • Christopher Nolan should have really added the deleted scenes. I really wanna see the one with Batman jumping on the cop cars!

  • Well you just did.

  • @Evidentz07 HOPEFULLY soon he will release an extended cut of both BB and TDK before the 3rd movie comes out. THAT WOULD BE AWSOME!!!!

  • 1:02, looks badass, why did they cut that out?

  • idk but maybe they will have another version tht has extended scenes, like spider-man 2.1

  • does anyone think that chris nolan can actually make a better batman movie? tdk was outstanding. to see a batman movie top that is gonna be a bitch to do but chris can hopefully do it

  • I heard he wasn't going to make Batman 3, but it's just a rumour so I'm not sure

  • I think if Batman told Dent that the hjoker switched locations, two-face would still have believed the joker to be a "mad dog", hence not responsible for his actions and still threatened Gordon's son.

  • Comment removed

  • This has been thoroughly enjoyed, drank, spat-up again, added to favorites, and cuddled lovingly. XD

  • When Dent says "half", it's so chilling.

Great trailer, and best fucking movie ever made.

  • do u know where I can download this video?

  • That is about the only trailer where u get SOME of two-Face. I think they didn't focus enough on him in their marketing campaign.

  • what about Hush as a second for the Riddler? I mean in the comics they were pals

  • What I dont understand in the Dark Knight is The joker lies to batman about where dent is and where rachel is(when they're both tied up separately with oil barrels) by telling him the opposite, why doesn't batman explain that to dent( or even mention it) when Dent blames batman for not saving rachel first

  • If batman told him that, I'm not sure Dent would listen to him. It's pointless...

  • Dent blamed Gordon first b/c it was his "crooked" cops that kidnapped Dent and Rachel in the first place. Dent never trusted Gordon.

Furthermore, Dent knew Gordon and Batman worked together. So, Dent blamed Batman b/c of his connections with Gordon.

  • I think Dent blamed Batman for saving him instead of Rachael, hence getting Rachel killed.

  • I`m not entirely sure Harvey would listen in the state of mind He was in.

  • i remember watching this trailer constantly during the weeks b4 TDK came out in theatres, and being so f***ing excited for it.

  • Comment removed

  • yep, it's the music played in the scene when Bruce Wayne causes a riot in the ninja house

  • REALLY AMAZING TRAILER!

    Best movie ever IMO.

  • In my opinion The Dark Knight will be the definitive Batman movie. No other Batman movie in the past has come close and i don't think any on in the future will be as good. But then again, you never know...

  • I agree, TDK is the definitive Batman movie, and I really doubt that B3 will be as good as this. =D

  • i hope that batman 3 doesnt suffer from the dreaded thrid film curse film like spiderman 3 robocop 3 godfather part 3 superman 3 mummy 3 etc the last 2 batmans were great and they cant ruin it with that

  • Chris Nolan has, as of today, no intention of making a third movie. It's best to leave it as it is because the whole idea of Batman was already captured in this film.

  • what i heard is that if nolans will make a third film he wants to take all da time he needs to come up with a great story and all that stuff me personally that got me to b a little happy b/c i wud rather wait for a great movie then rush to watch a shotty one

  • What I meant was one should leave the story as it is. Great third movies such as Return of the King are rare and you principally have Batman's psychology explained already in this film. so why push it further? The Riddler, Penguine and Co seem too corny and some are simply unrealistic. With nolan, getting either Catwoman or the Penguine would not be possible. The only way u could do a third one is to incert the Riddler and a secon, darker villain like Black Mask or Two-Face if he is not dead

  • @GuedesTDK

    @Regenmacher175

I disagree that TDK is the definitive Batman movie. The definitive Joker movie maybe, but come on, Batman without the Batcave? Yes, I know the story reasons, but it was still an iconic piece missing from the feature. It doesn't matter how good the movie was, it was nowhere near the highlight of the Batman character, and this is coming from someone who's favourite Batman is Bale despite the criticisms.

  • wish 1:02 made it into the movie =(

  • 1:01- 1:02. when in the movie was batman jumping on cars?

  • That scene was cut out. It was part of the end of the movie when Batman was running from the police.

  • no its not that scene. its right after batman comes out from the interrogation room and gets to the batpod.

  • Ah, you are right. I thought the background was of the blown up warehouse, but it's actually the MCU.

I wonder if anything from the interrogation scene was left out. Like more of Batman beating up the Joker that would've been too violent to make the final cut.

  • It's actually not from the end, but takes place right after the interrogation scene before he mounts his batpod. If you look closely, you'll see it's the police station in the background.

  • Go to greatmovies[DOT]tk to watch this movie and many more for free.

  • the dark knight was the absolute best batman movie i've ever seen and i have seen them all.

  • will they ever come out with a game for this ? anybody knows?

  • I read an article a few months back that they weren't going to make a game due to Ledger's death. I know, I'm pissed too, but hopefully they change their minds if it wasn't just a rumor.

  • Apparently the game was cancelled due to the game not being ready by the deadline, but over the Christmas holidays EA re-announced the game.

  • 1:01 - Yeah I'm also wondering what happened to the Batman-on-cop-cars sequence. Nolan claimed that there were no deleted scenes. Maybe its just a small bit of an already existing action scene.

  • it's right when he leaves the interrogation room and goes down to his batpod, it's just like 2 seconds of footage

  • yeah i was wondering about that. There was also a pic of batman standing on top of a cop car with a huge dent in it where he was standing like he had jumped on it from a building

  • 1:14 - Amazing alternate take of the Joker during the Lower Wacker car chase.

  • this was great

I love the fact that Nolan and Co are taking characters (ie batman, joker, two face) and treating them as if they could exist in reality.

    two face particularly was disturbing.

  • Wow... I love this movie. All the actors were so amazing.

Ya, i hope two face is alive too, as HE IS SO AWESOME but it is very unlikely... sad face.

Love this trailer too - it's different than any I have ever seen!

  • this is the best movie eever my favorite

i dont want 2 face to be dead he rules

  • Chills...

  • This movie is simple superb... everithing is great... the characters, the story, the action, the soundtrack.,.. everithing.

    Thanks Nolan.

  • I can't believe the score won't be a nominee for the Academy Awards, it's absurd, the music was great.

  • 1 of the BEST trailer i've ever SEEN

  • that scene batman jumping over cop cars i like to see it

  • Yeah I thought that was strange. Took me awhile to recollect that it wasn't in the movie.

  • good god this movie kicks ass

they handled everything so well, the joker in this is one of the most brilliant characters I've seen on film.

yeah yeah two faces deserves more screentime, well so did scarecrow, so did ra's, so does batman - the real problem is that the performances are so good you wish there were 10 movies not 2.

  • What music track is this?

  • Myotis, from the Batman Begins soundtrack.

  • The Dark Knight is around the best comic book movie of all times.

  • dark knight for best picture

  • it would be great if that happend but knwoing the acadmy awards there going to find some bull shit independent drama movie and make that best picture

  • sad but true

  • to me, two-face shouldnt have died in TDK. he's one of batman's mainstream villains, along with the joker and ra's al ghul. he deserved to have his own leading role if he didnt die in TDK. other than that, TDK is undeniably the best movie to ever grace the silver screen.

  • Even though things look bleak, he might not be dead...

  • no hes dead arron ekart said it in a interview saying that he wanted to come back but he cant since his character died

  • Aw... that's too bad. Where'd you read this interview?

  • Actually it's in the script which you can dowload for free. BUT Nolan is famous for twists... so better wait and see.

  • I don't want him to be dead... Eckhart was amazing as dent and Two-Face. PLus his "bad" half was downright scary looking... burnt right off. Still gives me nightmares, the first time he turned his head and showed his scarred side.. ugh.

  • Best movie ever

  • AHAH I LOVE THIS SONG. I liked this trailer out of all the DK ones. It's just more so terrifying than the more newer ones. D:

Hmm, if they touched up a bit on a few parts like if they added the broken glass missing from the interrogation scene, and etc this would be probably the best trailers.

  • I hate when losers knock this movie not bacause they really thought it was bad..they just invent faults that dont exist to hate it just cause people like it alot.

  • god that music suits batman so well!

  • what's the music called?

  • Myotis - Batman Begins

  • By Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard

  • This movie was well gd but there alot of scenes missing that i wanted to see but it was still rely gd

  • not scenes missing, they just change dit a ltitle, and in traielrs they often show alternate scene shots they didn't use for the final cut, or different angles and so forth.

  • this movie was the fucking shit!

  • Well, it is not anything wrong. 4 stars.

  • bellisimo trailer

  • still gives me goosebumps after seeing it 8 times what a fucking movie i feel so bad for ledger not been able 2 see is masterpiece

  • does anyone know the name of the music track? is it on TDK soundtrack?

  • its myotis off the Batman Begins soundtrack

  • other level

  • Just some awesome news: WB is re-releasing The Dark Knight in January!!!

    DVD and Blu-Ray in December.

"It's not about money... it's about.. sending a message."

  • lalw, thats actually SO true :P

  • Yeah, it is true! They're re-releasing it to send a message to the academy! They want Oscars!

  • What is this song? Somebody give me an answer please

  • Myotis from Batman Begins.

  • man, I remember when I first heard about this footage, waaay back July of 07 and you couldnt find it anywhere, there were just descriptions on superhero hype, and I would have seriously given my right testicle to see it then. Luckily a year later and all the anticipation piad off-best film of the last 5 years at least...probably more. absolute masterpiece.

  • Some men just want to watch the world BURN.

    Best. Line. Ever.

  • looked like batman was running across police car roofs....didnt see that in the cinema

  • it's after he'd interrogated the joker and goes to find Rachel and Harvey, so that's outside the police station

  • This movie is too great for a scene to be missing!! That can't right after he finds out about Rachel.

1- He runs right to the Batpod

2- This seems to be near some other building

  • Yeah true, perhaps I remember it incorrectly. I'll be seeing it again this monday, I'll be looking for it.

  • That scene's not in the movie, dudes. It got cut out.

  • What scene?

  • the part where batman is running ontop of police cars

  • they also didn't show when the tumbler makes a burnout in the batcave

  • ah good to watch this trailer and remember this great movie

  • Two-Face = *gasm* lol

  • This just reminds me how awesome it was to see this in the theater =D

  • It reminds me of when I saw it at Wizard World. Those first shots of the Joker were absoulutely amazing. I think I actually reeled back in shock when I first saw him. I knew right then: This was going to be an unbelievable masterpiece.

  • This must have been aamzing to watch the marketing of the film was brilliant

  • Epic! Great trailer, even greater film.

  • I was there at Wizard World. This was one of the most exiting moments of my life as a geek. Thanks for showing the trip down memory lane.

  • What's the name of this score?

  • myotis-from batman begins

  • so this is what the batgeeks saw all those months ago. sweet. hey they added some cg in the final edit when bats smashed jkr into the window :(

  • You've no idea how awesome this was for us when we saw it, dude! It was incredible!

  • man, i wish i was important lol all we got for ages was the bloody descriptive text of this footage haha

  • im kinda glad i didnt see this before i saw it. it totally gives two face away.

anyways, this movie is awesome. i have the curse. seen it once every week is been out. [7]

  • You didn't know Two-Face was coming when you went to the movie?

Anyway, I was one of the few people priveledged enough to be there for this, and let me tell you, watching it now, after the movie's out, doesn't do it justice. This was the first time anyone saw the Joker in action. It was beyond amazing for us. I stood up and shouted "Holy shit! Holy shit!" Of course, you couldn't hear it because the room was louder with cheers than I've ever heard in my life. An experience I'll never forget.

  • omg...i went to see this movie 3 times and i spent the whole day looking at youtube videos of the dark knight :D

  • wow after watching this any1 would wanna c this movie at least 4 times

  • im a victim of tht >.>
