Batman jumping on top of the police cars is a badass scene that shouldn´t have been cut off from the movie, its so Noir.. what was Nolan thinking by cutting that?
Could use a little more Two-Face? Yea me as well. Check out this interesting Two-Face fan film on my page. Do you believe in Harvey Dent?! You will after you see this. It aint half bad.
@VideoWatcher3012 I find that hard to believe as at the end Gordon said Dent killed five people yet we only see him kill 2, 3 if you count Maroni (if he died, which is likely), 2 of them cops (we only see one cop killed).
@VideoWatcher3012 it's too sloppy to be a plothole. there are scenes that were deleted. no movie has zero deleted scenes. and the guy who played gamble even said in an interview most of his stuff got cut out.
@dumbestname Nope, neither was the shot of Wayne and Dent touching glasses, the shot of the tumbler speeding outta the cave was cut out, as was the suit rising outta the floor, theres also many alt takes in this too
I was one of the fortunate few who saw this at Wizard World Chicago in 2007. We only had one crappy picture of the Joker that anyone knew how he was going to look, but no one expected what we saw here. You immediately got the sense of how intense and amazing both his performance and the film were going to be. Truly one of the most exciting days of my life.
@ryantmurphy87 at 1:40, it's soooo noticeably an extended scene of the two of them talking about the heist on rachel, ramirez, and maroni's fated chance. FOR OUR SAKE CHRIS NOLAN, MAKE THE EXTENDED VERSION ALREADY, PLEASE!!!!!!
I fucking love this movie, a hero's struggle with madness and chaos, a two-faced white knight fighting against corruption and an evil psychopath that would change things... forever
I've been a Batman fan all of my life and I grew up with the comics, the toys, the Burton films, EVERYTHING. Batman Begins was a classic, but The Dark Knight is a masterpiece and it's my child-hood dreams come true. It's exactly what I had been reading in the comics: the struggle Bruce Wayne has with keeping the Batman identity and the level of madness it brings to the city by drawing anarchists like the Joker. TDK is a perfect film that will always be close to my heart, so:
¿OMG a Dark Knight nuthugger that's the best you got? You stupid troll, if you don't like it you don't watch it, simple as that. Every real Batman fan know this is better.
No no, see it's the other way around. People that dislike the Dark Knight are a minority, and you can't change that, not even with all your hate comments.
I wasn't a Batman fan (blame a certain film for that) until I saw Begins, and I was vastly impressed. To this day I love that movie, but The Dark Knight is better. Much better acting, better editing, better themes etc. I wasn't even looking forward to The Dark Knight all that much, just felt that Heath Ledger's death would distract me as I watch the film, but it didn't. Begins is brilliant but The Dark Knight is even better.
does anyone think that chris nolan can actually make a better batman movie? tdk was outstanding. to see a batman movie top that is gonna be a bitch to do but chris can hopefully do it
I think if Batman told Dent that the hjoker switched locations, two-face would still have believed the joker to be a "mad dog", hence not responsible for his actions and still threatened Gordon's son.
What I dont understand in the Dark Knight is The joker lies to batman about where dent is and where rachel is(when they're both tied up separately with oil barrels) by telling him the opposite, why doesn't batman explain that to dent( or even mention it) when Dent blames batman for not saving rachel first
In my opinion The Dark Knight will be the definitive Batman movie. No other Batman movie in the past has come close and i don't think any on in the future will be as good. But then again, you never know...
i hope that batman 3 doesnt suffer from the dreaded thrid film curse film like spiderman 3 robocop 3 godfather part 3 superman 3 mummy 3 etc the last 2 batmans were great and they cant ruin it with that
Chris Nolan has, as of today, no intention of making a third movie. It's best to leave it as it is because the whole idea of Batman was already captured in this film.
what i heard is that if nolans will make a third film he wants to take all da time he needs to come up with a great story and all that stuff me personally that got me to b a little happy b/c i wud rather wait for a great movie then rush to watch a shotty one
What I meant was one should leave the story as it is. Great third movies such as Return of the King are rare and you principally have Batman's psychology explained already in this film. so why push it further? The Riddler, Penguine and Co seem too corny and some are simply unrealistic. With nolan, getting either Catwoman or the Penguine would not be possible. The only way u could do a third one is to incert the Riddler and a secon, darker villain like Black Mask or Two-Face if he is not dead
I disagree that TDK is the definitive Batman movie. The definitive Joker movie maybe, but come on, Batman without the Batcave? Yes, I know the story reasons, but it was still an iconic piece missing from the feature. It doesn't matter how good the movie was, it was nowhere near the highlight of the Batman character, and this is coming from someone who's favourite Batman is Bale despite the criticisms.
Ah, you are right. I thought the background was of the blown up warehouse, but it's actually the MCU.
I wonder if anything from the interrogation scene was left out. Like more of Batman beating up the Joker that would've been too violent to make the final cut.
It's actually not from the end, but takes place right after the interrogation scene before he mounts his batpod. If you look closely, you'll see it's the police station in the background.
I read an article a few months back that they weren't going to make a game due to Ledger's death. I know, I'm pissed too, but hopefully they change their minds if it wasn't just a rumor.
1:01 - Yeah I'm also wondering what happened to the Batman-on-cop-cars sequence. Nolan claimed that there were no deleted scenes. Maybe its just a small bit of an already existing action scene.
yeah i was wondering about that. There was also a pic of batman standing on top of a cop car with a huge dent in it where he was standing like he had jumped on it from a building
they handled everything so well, the joker in this is one of the most brilliant characters I've seen on film.
yeah yeah two faces deserves more screentime, well so did scarecrow, so did ra's, so does batman - the real problem is that the performances are so good you wish there were 10 movies not 2.
to me, two-face shouldnt have died in TDK. he's one of batman's mainstream villains, along with the joker and ra's al ghul. he deserved to have his own leading role if he didnt die in TDK. other than that, TDK is undeniably the best movie to ever grace the silver screen.
I don't want him to be dead... Eckhart was amazing as dent and Two-Face. PLus his "bad" half was downright scary looking... burnt right off. Still gives me nightmares, the first time he turned his head and showed his scarred side.. ugh.
AHAH I LOVE THIS SONG. I liked this trailer out of all the DK ones. It's just more so terrifying than the more newer ones. D:
Hmm, if they touched up a bit on a few parts like if they added the broken glass missing from the interrogation scene, and etc this would be probably the best trailers.
I hate when losers knock this movie not bacause they really thought it was bad..they just invent faults that dont exist to hate it just cause people like it alot.
not scenes missing, they just change dit a ltitle, and in traielrs they often show alternate scene shots they didn't use for the final cut, or different angles and so forth.
man, I remember when I first heard about this footage, waaay back July of 07 and you couldnt find it anywhere, there were just descriptions on superhero hype, and I would have seriously given my right testicle to see it then. Luckily a year later and all the anticipation piad off-best film of the last 5 years at least...probably more. absolute masterpiece.
It reminds me of when I saw it at Wizard World. Those first shots of the Joker were absoulutely amazing. I think I actually reeled back in shock when I first saw him. I knew right then: This was going to be an unbelievable masterpiece.
You didn't know Two-Face was coming when you went to the movie?
Anyway, I was one of the few people priveledged enough to be there for this, and let me tell you, watching it now, after the movie's out, doesn't do it justice. This was the first time anyone saw the Joker in action. It was beyond amazing for us. I stood up and shouted "Holy shit! Holy shit!" Of course, you couldn't hear it because the room was louder with cheers than I've ever heard in my life. An experience I'll never forget.
Batman jumping on top of the police cars is a badass scene that shouldn´t have been cut off from the movie, its so Noir.. what was Nolan thinking by cutting that?

Dent blamed Gordon first b/c it was his "crooked" cops that kidnapped Dent and Rachel in the first place. Dent never trusted Gordon.
Furthermore, Dent knew Gordon and Batman worked together. So, Dent blamed Batman b/c of his connections with Gordon.

man, I remember when I first heard about this footage, waaay back July of 07 and you couldnt find it anywhere, there were just descriptions on superhero hype, and I would have seriously given my right testicle to see it then. Luckily a year later and all the anticipation piad off-best film of the last 5 years at least...probably more. absolute masterpiece.

SAda940 3 years ago 3
it's after he'd interrogated the joker and goes to find Rachel and Harvey, so that's outside the police station
Shonaripa 3 years ago 3
This movie is too great for a scene to be missing!! That can't right after he finds out about Rachel.
1- He runs right to the Batpod
2- This seems to be near some other building
CastorGrayson 3 years ago
Yeah true, perhaps I remember it incorrectly. I'll be seeing it again this monday, I'll be looking for it.
Shonaripa 3 years ago
That scene's not in the movie, dudes. It got cut out.
