@talludahling Pretty sure is not a legal concept. The key question is whether or not copyright on this film was renewed. If it was, then the expiration would be 95 years after the publication date. If that's the case, republishing this video would be copyright infringement.

The parts about women not being able to compete with men in the general sections of the paper is really sad. Now I understand why my parents and grandparents seem so fucking backward. My daughter, who wil probably grow up to be a fighter pilot, will love this.

you're welcome! this is an educational film from 1940. my guess is that it was probably shown to kids in school.

This shows how far women have come in the work force. Back then they thought all they were good for were for covering society life and couldn't do a good a job as men.
