Financial crysis is only the begining. Behold the no future of our civilisation ! We must change. I don't know how, but I'm ready to contribute. @samgamje01 after I almost died in 2004 we retired to Florida. I'm just starting to develop accessible garden boxes and am growing organically. I'm really interested in urban farming and what I will be able to do so we are living a more sustainable, healthy life.

The thing I don't like about this movie is that it doesn't really explain how every man and woman on the planet becomes sterile. The progression of the movie is really good. It's an adventurous film, action packed, and I laughed at moments like when the guy smacks the cop in the face with a car battery! The beginning and the ending of the film leaves you in a cloud of mystery
Why the human race becomes sterile is not important, its just the backdrop to society being pushed to its limits. Its more about the extent to which we (the government?) will disregard civil liberties in order to maintain what we/they beleive to be a stable society and the extents to which ordinary men will go if they dont agree with that point of view, often under exceptional circumstances.
I think the infertility of people in the movie is just a metaphor obviously for the infertility of a lot of other things in our societies. like the irony of how globalization arguably has made countries even more disconnected than ever perhaps? The infertility of human communication perhaps, idk.
it is really sad to see that people come here just to start a flame contest in who hates this movie more... it is okay to have a different taste in moives but if someone liked V for Vendetta than there is no chance that he dislikes this movie. for all those who want to start flaming all Children of Men videos: have you pondered how much spare time you have to fuck up topics? if not go and do so if yes than have you thought about better use?
really creepy movie. Its all the stuff added in here which made me glad to live in the world we live in. For me, the future is about hope, bettering ourselves and technological breakthroughs. To see a possible future like this is chilling.

Agreed. Here's a plot flaw for you all. The news anouncer says the youngest person is 18 and some years, but 'Kee' is clearly younger. Also note that the dead 'yougster' is Argentinian. There's a tasty chunk of classic liberal English white guilt for all you doom lovers.
Kee's age is never really explained with detailed. It is know that she is young, probably 18, but she might have had more months than baby diego. Even if she was younger, the government in the film would most likely not acknowledge that a refugee is the youngest.
