  • ill stick w my 08 F150, nice truck though! these new chevs got lots of power

  • @bmwrocks325 Too bad their quality and reliability is crap. Too many issues with them. Check out alldatadiy and look up TSB and Recalls. I prefer my vehicle to get good mileage because it works, not good mileage because it stays in the shop.

  • @04redmach1 you mean the f150s or chevs for bad quality, ive had 0 issues w my truck

  • @bmwrocks325 A lot of Chevy vehicles have issues period, not just trucks lol.

  • @04redmach1 oh ok, im just used to ppl insulting fords, haha ya chevy needs to update their quality, right now they got new car models now, but they still got along way to go to catch honda and ford

  • @bmwrocks325 Haters gonna hate. All you have to do is look at stats based on quality and reliability. Ford is on top, no one can touch it :)

  • @04redmach1 ya man, Ford and Honda are the only cars ill look at, kia too lol one day kia will beat dodge and chevy, dodge EWWW so many ugly cars

  • @bmwrocks325 I tried Dodge, and after 7,000 miles on a brand new 2010, couldn't keep it out the shop. I refuse to leave Ford ever again. My buddy actually works at the Kia plant in West Point, GA. They are gettin better, and I would put them ahead of dodge for sure. They are ahead of Chevy in the compact car department as well.

  • @04redmach1 my grandpa has the first hemi dodge a 2004 i believe or 03 and its interior is just crap all this hard plastic and the engine has lots of power but the tranny + engine isnt a good mix, your always in the higher rpms like 1700 cruising vs the ford who is 1-1200rpms cruising in town

  • Tsk tsk. Google "2011 chevy duramax problems" and click 3rd result. Notice post number 4. Look at all the problems throughout. Exhaust issues, water pump, etc... They haven't got much info on the Duramax because the Earthquake in Japan has slowed their mail a little. Japanese diesel or American. Ford please. Thanks.

  • @04redmach1 First the Duramax is as american as the Powerstroke or Cummins... and secondly those problems are caused by the strict new EPA regulations, none of the diesels are exempt from what I understand. the 6.5L Powerstroke for instance was riddled with problems compaired to the old 7.0L same goes with the Cummins 5.9L which was indestructable and the current verison which needs to be babied a bit.

  • @ChevRcr454 If you say so. How about go to alldatadiy and look up TSB and Recalls on the Duramax. Go right ahead. Then compare to the all mighty Ford. Yea, exactly. GM is still a half company and slings horrible quality vehicles out the door to repair later.

  • @04redmach1 you mean like the Cruze that is outselling the Focus nearly 2 to 1?

and FYI from what I've heard only the 7.0L Powerstroke was any good. and I should know my dad had a 6.5L Powerstroke in his work truck "04 F350", that engine needed to be constantly babied. his 5.9L Cummins "97 Ram" didn't need anything to keep it going, and neither does his current truck, a 2004 Silverado.

  • @ChevRcr454 FYI: Ford is selling the Focus as fast as they hit the showroom, difference is ford slowed production down a few months back, but has announced not too long ago that production is back to full pace and dealers will no longer see a short supply of Fiesta and Focus passenger cars. Again, proves GM is slinging them out without proper quality control. Check all of those TSB and recalls

Neither of those displacement engines were in a Ford. They have had a 7.3, 6.0, 6.4 and now the 6.7.

  • @04redmach1 oh please, if I pulled that excuse for why a chevy isn't selling well you wouldn't buy it... and sorry for not knowing every single displacement of diesel engine used in a truck i'll never own... also I hate to break it to you, but you do NOT want to bark up the recall tree when defending Ford. You, I, and eveyrone else knows that Ford has had their fair share of recalls over the years.

  • @ChevRcr454 Excuse??? It's facts dude. Goggle it if you would like.

Everyone has had recalls, but the difference is in black and white in total issues with a car. Did you check the alldatadiy list? Check a 2011 1500 6.2 and a 2011 f150 6.2. Ford has a list of 4 I believe and Chevy has a list of 100+. Fact is, GM has no quality control and builds half vehicles. Of course I have talked to 3 04-07 avalanche owners and all have had 2+ transmissions replaced before 70k miles lol.

  • @04redmach1 nigga youre so fucking gay.. dont even try to post recalls just because you hate chevy and if you do then please fuck off this video

  • 1:33 Orange Peel the paint quality on these trucks are horrible.

  • I build them

  • Look at the orange peel 1:33, holy shit.

  • i got one. awesome truck!!

  • Its really nice to know this truck is built in Flint, MI. As a Michigander I a very proud to so the some UAW worker is making this truck.

  • Darwin Haack worked at Flint Truck and Bus over 20 years ago. He helped write, and sang the vocals on a great song, "Top of the Line". Nothing ever came of this song until recently. We found our copy, had my son, Josh Tripplehorn, poduce a video with it, and are trying to get it noticed by GM. Take a look, listen, and tell us what you think. Top of the Line by Darwin Haack......youtube (search)

  • lawl.

  • Can someone in engineering at GM that works on these let me know if the hood louvers on these is functional? I noticed there are holes in the louver which leads me to think yes, but many are telling me they're just cosmetic.. thanks.

  • @CE750 I'm not in GM engineering. But those are vents, they let the hot air escape from the engine bay, that's why 2011 Sierra's have them one of it's own. You can shave them, but if you tow often, then I wouldn't recommend it.

  • Everytime i watch this i shed a tear. Theres just something about Chevy and GMC that no ford, dodge, or jap truck can ever do in a mans heart. Its called becoming attached, and many memories with the vehicle, because when you buy a Chevy, you'll have it until its sold or driven off a cliff. :)

  • Very Pretty Trucks,I think one of the gray ones would like to come to live with me in Texas.

  • just ordered an ACDelco part for my truck. THE BOX SAYS " MADE IN CHINA" WTF STOP OUTSOURCING OUR JOBS. I WANT AMERICAN PRODUCTS FOR MY AMERICAN TRUCK. CHINA CANT EVEN MAKE A BABY CRIB RIGHT OR DRYWALL AND YOUR GIVING THEM OUR JOBS???????? NO NEW GM VEHICLE ANYTIME SOON FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. AND THERE IS ALOT OF US OUT THERE TO GM

  • I LOVE CHEVROLET. THE TRUCK IS ASSEMBLED IN THE U.S. , IS EVERY SINGLE PART ON THIS TRUCK AMERICAN?? IF NOT , WHY THE HELL NOT ?? CHEVROLET PLEASE RESPOND TO MY QUESTIONS

  • @scrimmy6969 STILL WAITING

  • @scrimmy6969 thanks for your post, no vehicle has exclusively domestic content, as parts are sourced from many locations to ensure both quality and efficiency. Silverado's domestic (US and Canada according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) content is around 65% - for a frame of reference, F150's is around 55%. When purchasing a new truck (or car) you can find this information on every vehicle’s window sticker for reference.

  • @chevrolet "sourced from many locations to ensure quality and efficiency" my opinion you are not going to get better quality than from a 100% AMERICAN made product. i think it is sad, giving our AMERICAN jobs away to other countries. thanks again for your reply. what the hell has happened to this country? lets just see how much money we can make?

  • @chevrolet Is it possible to talk to a live Chevrolet Truck engineer/designer about a bunch of Ideas that I have regarding pickups?

  • After 20 years of buying German and Japanese cars/trucks.. I bought one of these .. this is truly an amazing truck and what Detroit used to be known for in the '60's.. Big, Bad and tough! I feel like I'm driving my own personal semi truck, but I get 19mpg and emit less crud than most people's 3-4 year old V8 cars.

  • I own an old '92 Ram but the fact that this thing is made in the U.S. instead of Mexico (where all Ram HDs are now made) wins my vote.

  • I laughed at this only because it's the best truck gm has made hands down. Too bad I got my dads 2000 Sierra :)

  • its cool, but the 4x4s should have a full solid axle set up. now that would be awesome.

  • dam holy shit! these trucks r way better than last years models. and i love the new Duramax =)

  • i would own a chevy, gmc, or dodge before a ford. i have also worked on trucks with my dad before and i would fix a chevy, gmc, or dodge rather than spend a day tearing a motor apart just to be able to change the spark plugs which are buried beneath crap

  • love the new chevy, taking the others to the cleaners

  • Glad it's being built in America. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think all of Dodge's heavy-duty production is now done in Mexico? At one point they were making them both in the U.S. and Mexico.

  • Welcome to the new benchmark!

And I now know how they put the badges on...

  • @bfagay1, thats not the point. what do you drive a toyota. yea sure you may get milage with it but guess what. im pullin 26's highway with an 07 LBZ, close to 19 city. there is only one other truck that has competed against my truck in our sled pulls and that was an 06 cummins that has more than twice as much in the truck than what i have. duramax may be a jap engine but ill gaurentee you that ill pull your truck around all day and not even realize that your back there.

  • I already want to trade my 2010 GMC Sierra 2500HD ccsb duramax in for one of these. Too bad they build these trucks soo good ill have mine probly another 20yrs!

  • i want one so bad

  • awesome truck, but GM should start stamping CHEVROLET into the tailgates again. it gives the trucks character, the little bowtie just doesn't compair and it shouldn't be to hard to do just modify the tailgate stamp.

  • @ChevRcr454 Agreed, i like when there was CHEVROLET in big letters. Like 60s and 70s chevys had if i believe?

  • @ChevRcr454 ya since the bowtie on the tail gate was chevy copying from ford.

  • @ChevRcr454 i agree.

  • @ChevRcr454 i agree, my '72 C20 has CHEVROLET stamped on the tailgate

  • GM is the best, always will be. Wake up americans. Toyota tundra guys are a joke, those are sissy trucks.

  • Need to see more videos of the products being built with assemblers!!!

  • do you still do random body weld tests on the trucks on the assembly lines still?

  • sweet i still want a crew dually 4x4

  • Great job GM!! When should these be hitting dealer lots?
