@tptphenom One of the best experiences of my life was playing with Lenny all through 1978-1980... We were opening act for Teddy Pendergrass and The Emotions. Also Natalie Cole, Ashford and Simson, Stephanie Mills, Cameo and many others. As far as "Cause I Love You" for a senior recital on trumpet.... hmmm.... my trumpet parts were all just to enhance what Lenny did.... Unless you play Lenny's parts on horn. But I don't know that the song would work as well without the words....

Recently, actually for the last 11 years I've been playing trumpet with TIERRA, the band from East LA that made the song "Together" famous. I Have a recording studio here in Los Angeles, and I have also been teaching a recording and producing class for UCLA Extension for over 22 years...  I also just played here in Los Angeles with Lenny for New Years Eve!!

Saw him on the Monique show. The best singing performance I have seen on TV ever!!! After all these years, Mr. Williams still electrifies!!!!
