  • Sr im about to buy one like that and i want to make it like yours help

  • sweet bike

  • Absolutely brilliant! Love the color and the tunes.

  • QUALITY!

  • Bike came out awesome! What kind of rear fender did you use?

  • Beautiful bike, great music... Nice job man. I can´t say more because my english sucks...-

  • EXCELLENT WORK!!

  • Hey man great build !! i was wondering if thats a penut tank or a king? harely tank?? again man great inspiration.!! its awesome to see guys bringin the rebel back to its name

  • love this bike man!

  • Sweet Bike

  • great customization ! I was just wondering how much did you spend and how long did it take to build it ?

  • i know you used the stock pipes and just cut them down, but how did you attach them at the back? since as im sure you know the stock mufflers bolt onto a bracket thats then bolted to the frame. did you have to fab a bracket or are they just hanging on by the engine?

  • That is a beautiful bike, I'm hoping to have my own real soon and hopefully it looks that good!

  • Did you customize the gas tank or did just Harley sportster tank would do

  • Hey man how did you strip the rims I know you cant just scuff and paint chrome but im not sure how I am goin to strip my rims to paint them

  • ......................still a 250

  • Im planning on bobbing my rebel 125 soon and I was just guna do a quick job but you have inspired me to be a bit more pro about it and do more respraying than I was planning on. awesome vid man and I seriously dig the music! who is it? they sound loads like a local band to me called 'Pilgrim Fathers' just went to see them last night :-P

  • very cool, looks almost like a chopped sportster but without the drawback of being a harley :P

  • only Honda that i have ever thought was nice... sick bike

  • sleeck bike great job where did you get the spring seat??

  • did you paint the rims?

  • NICE

  • Ya know, all I wanted was my brothers old Shadow and to make it a flat black Bobber, but your vid makes me want to build a Rebel exactly like this, I'd keep the side covers and go a lime green though, I'm no copy cat and lime green is just not on a lot of bikes ya know? Maybe flat black the engine and such with every so slight semi-glossed black all over versus lime green? I'd be happy to ride that, ya made an "ugly duckling" so cool so mad respect man! Sideshow was more than pretty good too!

  • nice WORK good for barhoopin or going to work ugly word Work!!!!

  • It was the best thing anyone could do with that bike. Also, helped along with a bit of Sabbath. Nobody complains.

  • @SovereignFreeman actually think hte musician was " acid king". but FWIW. loved hte work on the bike. even tho hondas arent me, if i had to pick one this would be it. a definite thumbs up ( on the video , and the bike)

  • @yamahonkawazuki Funny how I assumed it was Sabbath, didn't pay attention really and had it low. Put headphones on and turned it up, pretty good sound. Genuinely thought it was from the classic ''Paranoid' era! anyway, back to business... Sure thing, this machine is the business,. looks much better than my old CB250N did all those years ago back in '86. (classic buy for £40!) Respect to the builder here, great job.

  • @SovereignFreeman no worries. its all good. good music, pics of a good bike. the only thing better is riding Eh?

  • I have always liked custom bikes and leaned toward the chopper style till now. I don't own a bike at this time, unless you count a cheap Chinese scooter I got to save on gas (AKA that piece of sh-- in my garage), but I'm thinking when i do get a real bike I've got to make it a bobber.

  • Wow absolutely beautiful my friend. Two questions, did making it look like that affect its performance in anyway because you had to add and remove some parts? How much would it cost to have that done to a 2010 rebel?

  • Impressive

  • The music wasn't so bad, the end result is VERY cool, and you did it with your own three hands. I love doing all my own stuff; makes the end product very individual. Well done bud!! :-} BTW, have you ever checked out Back Street Choppers? Great mag for the do-it-yourself rider. Cheers!!

  • @spacesaver100

Thanks. Yes I've seen back street choppers mag. Cool stuff.

  • that is absolutely beautiful my friend.

  • @maximuslt90

    Appreciate it.

  • I don't fucking care what all the other comments are... I really like this video and all that you make this poor rebel get through.....good job.. 'll do the same to my rebel in november... I'll put the video of the carnage here in december...

  • @Nrgpack

    Thank you very much

  • good work

    thanks for posting

  • @hopdoehop

    Thanks for watching

  • fucken nice bro...

  • @emoney68eyes

    Thanks

  • looks clean man, been thinking of buying a project bike myself, maybe a little bigger engine for my fat ass though

  • @quillen1991

    Thanks

  • Stupid question, but to make it a hardtail, all you have to do is replace the springs with those brackets? No welding/fabrication? Where did you get the brackets? Thanks much!!

  • @tylerpmac

Just made some struts to replace the shocks. Doubled up on some flat stock from home depot. No welding but some grinding and drilling. Pretty easy.

  • i admire your dedication to finishing the project. shes a beauty :)

  • @patsyredz

    Thank you

  • I'm a professional video producer for 25 years now, and there's no substitute for simplicity in a production--'less is more'. Nice choice of music and the slides were great. Great job on the bike as well. Just one critical complaint about the video, if I may be so bold... IT WAS TOO SHORT! You left me hungry for more oh-- I think that's a GOOD thing. Sorry, MY bad---- :))

  • @plinqth

    Haha. Thanks

  • nice!

  • I see no point in replacing the rear shocks with hard bars just to make it a hard tail, you don't save that much weight because all the rear suspension stuff is still in place. To me, the whole point of bobbin is not to achieve some look, but to lose as much weight as possible, to make the bike go faster and get better mpg, and be simpler, open, with less parts, and easier to work on. I would put the rear shocks back on this bike. Also your original tank and blue color looks kind of awkward.

  • @cobrachoppergirl Have you ever seen a Harldey Sportster, cause that is what his fuel tank come off of. A bobber transformation is not a weight thing, it is in fact a look. Bobbers don't go faster by much, and they sure don't get better mpg. All bobbers are hardtail/ rigid frame. If you want to make a bike faster increase your fuel/air intake, that means bigger carb for retards, and for a more expensive build a much larger engine, like my 86 is gettin. It often it costs more than the bike does.

  • @3:13 i got an instant boner

  • love this!!!!!i have a 250 night hawk thinkn about doing this for sure

  • Acid King rocks. Kind of like Vanillage Fudge meets Aerosmith.

  • why is it called a bobber?

  • @Dudeman9339

A bobber is a motorcycle that usually has had the front fender removed, the rear fender "bobbed" or made smaller and all superfluous items removed to make it lighter.

  • ill never see another thing like it? what if i watch the vidio twice? jk nice bike

  • @mongoosebootrrider

    Ha, Thanks bro

  • You've done a great job. I always like seeing the smaller cc bikes customized. The wife has a 250 Virago that I've been dying to tear into. If I did though, she would tear into me:)

  • @jrhennly

    Thank you. good luck

  • it is beautiful

  • @maxiborgaro

    Thanks

  • A true bobber. Beautiful attention to detail. I like to buy those old klaxxon horns made in france on early bugs. They make a great tuneable pitch and you can run two of them and wake the dead from their cell phones! Tee hee hee

  • @skwiddjergensen

    Thanks for the compliments

  • now bore it out to a 270cc and up the compression so it can actually go over 100

  • i never thought i'd see a cool rebel. way to shine a terd into a diamond.

  • @THEARMEDLIFE

    haha, Thanks.

  • How much and where? That's badass!

  • @pumpotheclown

Sorry sold along time ago. Thanks

  • that flows so perfectly!!

  • @paulpz2004

    Thank you much

  • @TailEndCustoms no prob, i had a black '04 rebel and your making me really sad i sold it..i always wondered what it'd sound like with some shorty pipes on it and i love how you did yours

  • Sweet bobber! Started my two-wheel addiction back in the '80s with a Rebel. Kudos brother!

  • @MDCBilge

    Awesome.

  • best honda rebel ever

  • @mexsicko

    Wow, Thanks

  • killer bike was wondering were did u get the back spring replacements is it a kit and if so were from and how much?

  • @miykl1

    Made them. Home depot. Thanks

  • amazing... did you adjust anything on the frame? i want to adjust my tank so it is above my tree not under it... did change the backbone of the bike at all???

  • @ibiteharddd

No adjusting to the frame. We modified the gas tank to fit the rebel backbone. We did nothing to the frame. Thanks

  • ACID KING!!!!! i like your choice of music! thats also a mean looking bike! Im looking for a cmx250 as my first bobber bike. should be fun

  • Did you powder coat or paint?

  • @SteveBlues87

    Lil of both

  • tight work man

  • @MrMadkaw400

    Thanks

  • dats a sick bike u got there! what kind of gas tank is that? where did you get it from and did u have to do any mods before putting on frame? thanks

  • @mranlontao

That is a harley sportster tank. Had to reweld the bottom to fit the backbone.

  • god that is a very nice build

  • hey what kind of head light did u use

  • @yupperzjames

    1981 Yamaha xs400 Headlight.

  • how have your struts held up? any frame bentage?

  • @Kkaleid

They were doubled up so I'm sure they are fine. I don't have the bike anymore so I couldn't tell ya. Thanks

  • I think this might be one of the greatest youtube videos ive ever seen

  • @cyblur

    Thanks for the compliment.

  • @TailEndCustoms what kind of head lights did u used

  • @yupperzjames

    1981 Yamaha xs400 Headlight.

  • Wow only $49?!? That's awesome. Thanks bro

P.S if you have a facebook check out my page "Small Time Bobbers" my bike is on their under Jay.

  • Ok cool. I did a little research on the fender and it seems that they don't offer it on their webpage as a separate buy. Did you have to email customer service and specify what fender you wanted? I really appreciate you taking your time to answer my questions. Thank you

  • @Lakerjay1984

Yeah just tell them you want a 200 model rear fender. They are $49 + shipping.

  • Very nice Job bro! I'm working on my 2001 Rebel right now. Is that a custom rear fender you did or is that aftermarket? Also those are some great looking tires. What brand are they and are they stock size?

  • @Lakerjay1984

Thanks. The rear fender is from a kikker hardknock bobber. The tires were stock as far as I know. They were in good shape so I didnt change them. Dont remember the brand.

  • hey was just wondering if you could tell me what bars you have on your rebel and is that a sportster tank great job

  • @galangMIA

Sup man. They are clip ons I got from ebay. Yes peanut sportster had to reweld the tunnel to fit. Thanks

  • @TailEndCustoms Do you know how wide the tunnel needs to be? I found a site that sells gas tanks that may easily fit on a Rebel. I'm trying to find one I can just have my friend slap on for me. Any info would be helpful, thanks!

  • @HondaRebellion

Sorry bud. I dont remember. I just measured the backbone. I don't have the bike anymore but if you have one then you should be able to measure your backbone.
