  • at a "rock"club last nite...a guy left because Little Richard was,"not really rock"...he slipped on the stairs, honest.

  • why?... cus he is the best... (best mutherfucker anwser i`ve heart in my entyre life)

  • biglegged woman

  • Well, little richard in his time spread more havoc than all heavy metal bands of the 80's combined. So in this context, Lemmy is right ! :o)

  • Elvis was a good commercial commodity and yeah he could sing and was great,,, but he was not an innovator or pioneer. It was LITTLE RICHARD & CHUCK BERRY who shaped rock and roll and the ones that other groups would emulate. The Beatles and Michael Jackson were greatly influence by these visionaries...Michael emulated Elvis's commercial branding by creating the crotch grab to scare the old generations much likethe elvis pelvis.

  • @tojew did u get this...so all u rock guys can understand...little richard

  • that rickenbocker bass is the shit!

  • Take some of that rock money and saw them tumers off yer face

  • Lemmy knows the truth.

  • MOTORHEAD RULES!

  • Whos little Richard? never heard of him

  • @slimyesli

google it dude....posting this here is not to ur credit

  • @will231982i yeah ive got SO much to loose...

  • @slimyesli

    loose? y...is something tight?

if u meant 'lose' then i wud agree.

  • @slimyesli He's the true King of Rock! I think you know Little Richard's song Tutti Frutti. Or at least I sure hope so. I'm surprised you didn't do a youtube search for him instead of asking here, actually. Little Richard has a concert scheduled this year, too!

  • You know what Little Richard said when he heard this? WhOoOoOoO!!

  • @Deanbass77 ahahah

  • Little Richard is the grandfather of heavy metal, his sheer intensity sowed the seeds of using of music to batter the senses & violate the soul rather than soothe it.

  • yep read the little Richard autobiography he is wild and his music changed popular music forever ...

  • Lemmy is dead-on right. Too bad he didn't elaborate on it. Little Richard was the true originator, the real beginning of rock and roll as we know it. Everyone from Eddie Cochran to Buddy Holly to Elvis and John Fogerty to Lemmy and beyond owes a HUGE debt to "The Georgie Peach," Little Richard. Just listen to 'Richard's old Specialty singles and you'll hear a black fifties version of Lemmy. Richard had records out while Elvis was still struggling on the regional Sun label.

  • If your a true rocker or a true metal-head than dont you dare tell me that Little Richard, Elvis, Bill Haley, Chuck Berry, ext, suck, They were the first rockers, they started it all! Allot of the rock/metal gods were inspired by them all,

  • Lemmy himself is the best!!!

    Little Richard is awesome too!^^

If Lemmy wouldn´t be maybe Little Richard would be the best!

But anyway he said it´s his personal opinion and I believe he´s not such an ass to call himself the best so I´m fine with his words!

    Thumbs up for the video!

  • while he was talking i just thought "i gotta pop that zit"

  • You listen to some Little Richard songs and it's like hearing hell opening up and spewing forth almost every genre of evil, rebellious awesome music today from soul to punk to metal. If you can't hear that then you need better ears. He is a living god.

  • 0:00 =D

  • Lil Richard put the speed in Roll n' Roll; if wan't for him there wouldn't be no Punk or Thrash.

  • Thanks for telling the truth Lemmy!! We love for that.

  • Nobody fucks with Motorhead!!

  • Long tall sally, good golly miss molly, and the best: tutti frutti!

I mean, he IS better than Ozzy, and Lemmy of Iommi desserve more that prize than Ozzy.

  • I really love this fuckin' freaky Grandpa. His voice, his look, his attitude is absolutely fantastic. Lemmy is the King of Metal, Motorhead is just the fucking Motorhead!

  • Lemmy is real Rock and Roll. He has musically more in common with Little Richard than Metallica or Iron Maiden or Slayer. And I love those bands. But he is more old school. And Motorhead never considered themselves heavy metal. Just a really heavy rock and roll band.

  • @xbertocoaylax technically maiden is as old as lemmy so they are in the same generation.both bands started in the 70's but didn't get big til the early 80's,but still i understand what ur tryin to say.

  • Good answer Lemmy.

  • not true little richard vocals blow up most of the self called metal singers hes very agressive

  • jaja true¡

  • Lemmy, man your so right! (so should you)

  • Fuck Elvis...Chuck Berry and Little Richard were the true kings of rock n roll! Well...Little Richard was more like the queen of rock n roll, but yeah.

  • little richard, i love it

  • @TheMiggitymark Yep.You're absolutely right.Rock n Roll was created by the blues.Chuck Berry took blues riffs and sped them up,just as Little Richard.Elvis came along and put it all in a pretty, WHITE Package and sold it to the world. There was NOTHING original about Elvis,I don't think he even wrote any original material. He stole everything, down to his "legendary" hip shaking from the Black Culture.B.B. King, Robert Johnson,Willie Dixon, howlin' Wolf! That's where rock n roll started.

  • @scumgod13 The sad thing is among most blacks and whites and all races it's digitalized beats and meaningless music in general now. All of these rappers out there talkin about how they make money and carry a choppa, yet they don't know their true roots. Which is playing musical instruments and singing with passion and soul. Not just doing what their producers tell them for money. Then again, they make so much they probably don't care.

  • @Aic1944 most of those guys aren't musicians, though they say they are. but they are business men, actually

they don't care wether the music is good or what, all they care about is that it's accepted into the mainstream music so they can make some profit.

  • Lemmy's brain resembles pink mashed potato. If he stopped using piss and drugs the mush would pour out of his nostrils.

  • No one more acurated than lemmy to say so !!

    go for the award !!!

    regards !!!

  • I fucking love Little richard

  • Totally agree.

  • Little Richard is the best... I think Lemmy's totally right, when he says, more people should listen to this old day's stuff, they had some great musicians back than.

Btw: Tributes to old fashioned R'n'R like "Going to Brazil" are so much fun to listen to :-)

  • 4 sods can piss off

  • RICHARD WAYNE PENNIMAN "LITTLE RICHARD" IS ANOTHER PIONEER OF ROCK N ROLL.

  • A lot of the '50s rock and roll standards were very fast and aggressive for the time they were released, it's no wonder that all the old people back then thought it was the Devil's music. Little Richard would be perfectly at home singing "Screaming For Vengeance" or "Blood of My Enemies".

  • Fairplay to Lemmy - I was once at a gig in Camden and when the support band came off the DJ turned his system up to 11 and BLASTED Little Richard's Tutti Frutti - I just stood there in a daze with my pint in my hand - it was like being in Heaven.

  • sorry, but compared to little richard, fuck ozzy!

  • Lemmy knows what he is talking about. Respect.

  • Little Richard pretty much got the ball really rolling for giving rock balls, if you listen to long tall sally or tutti fruiti theres a whole heap of elements there, solos, insane vocals, risque material and just being good overall. Alot of people think of Elvis when they think of early rock but it was really black performers that were the true pioneers in my opinion and a few of them are still alive!

  • I was already a Huge Motorhead Fan, Now My respect for Lemmy has SHOT UP THOUSAND FOLD. RIGHT ON LEMMY.

  • the man said Little Richard..! That's all i need to hear.. if he said it, then it must be so!

  • Little Richard is a legend as well. Deserves every award on the planet.

  • I fucking love Lemmy.....every time he speaks it is like he is just coming out of his own world inside his head to say what he's got to say and be done with it.....he doesn't seem like one to care much about what is going on around him...Lemmy does what Lemmy wants.

  • To me, Little Richard is the Napalm Death of the 50's!

  • @73joramone Very well said. And personnally, I'm more than happy to have been exposed to Little Richard's nuclear voice and music !

  • @chapelierfoudre Je viens de me rendre compte qu'on était français tous les 2, my friend! Little Richard représente une époque où le Rock était hystérique, bruyant, rapide, et aussi marrant. Beaucoup de gens savent à peine qui il est, de nos jours. ça en dit long!

  • Little Richard IS a Golden God

  • lemmy is so fuckin right, afterall little richard says that many ppl took his style n ran wit it n that is true.its plenty of artists n bands that do or have done things that little richard has already done in his hayday.besides, the man is one of the innovators of what we know today as rock & roll.without guys like little richard or chuck berry there would be no rock,no metal, thus no motorhead.

  • Little Richard is the greatest rocker of them all. I saw him twice at bristols colston hall. He was fabulous. The best i have ever seen. And i have seen them all including beatles and stones.

  • lemmy is metal in human form motherfuckers ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

    KILLED BY DEATH

  • woooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LEMMY RULES & LITTLE RICHARDS TOO...

LEMMY KNOWS A LOT OF MUSIC !!!

  • ''cause hes the best'' thats fucking enough aking him ''why?'' was just stupid :|

  • Anybody out there know what the title of the Motorhead track at the beginning?(0-10 secs)..

    Cheers

  • @stralight321 It's called R.A.M.O.N.E.S. which he penned for the Ramones.

  • Lemmy is OLD SCHOOL, obviously. Little Richard would be surprise to see him reciprocate in kind, eh!?!?

  • little richard was a bad motherfucker in the day. Lemmy is absolutely damn right.

  • @DomIstKrieg No Little Richard-No Queen, Motorhead or rock as we know it. He is absolutely right. There is something about an effeminate man with a hurricane of a rock band behind him that makes my hair stand on end.

  • Lemmy Rules!

  • all the best dudes cite Little Richard as an influence; he was an original, sexual maverick that naturally led to rock n roll. Lemmy and Hawkwind and Motorhead are progreessions on this. Elvis is the other influencer, I'd say.

  • @MMRJL Right on! There are many influences and at the top offcourse; Little R. Chuck Berry, Elvis, ...all that 50´s and 60´s stuff of great balls of Fire!

  • @MMRJL For both Dave Gilmour and Michael Schenker, it's Hank Marvin of the Shadows who inspired them

  • There is a God....and his name is Lemmy. Do whatever the fuck he says.

  • so when does layne stal;ey get the golden god?

  • If you love the tree, don't talk shit about the roots... Lemmy is right when he salutes his musical hero.

  • In the name of God, people have been raising temples for more than 2000 years. Lemmy's only asking to give a man a statue.

  • Good for Lemmy, I like a lot of oldies but it was the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal genre that set the music path for me (My first album was Iron Maiden Number Of The Beast) - and looking at what inspired and influenced them made me listen to the oldies - just because you are a metalhead does not mean you have to only listen to metal

  • I fucking hate the fact that metal comes in journals like this...

  • before listen metal, you should listen Little Richard

Fuck to the posers who havent idea about Metal

  • Little Richard = Rock N' Roll

Rock N' Roll = Little Richard

If you don't know that you don't know shit about Rock N' Roll.

  • @SUPERNERD77 I AGREE lemmy is god angus young loves chuck berry as do i and i fucking love little richard and motorhead

  • you go moto head i love little richard

  • Rock N' Roll is Rock N' Roll. You can draw a line from Chuck Berry & Little Richard to the Stones, to The Ramones and to Motorhead. Lemmy's a-ok for calling Little Richard a golden god 'cause he is.

  • Lemmy is GOD, he knews.

  • I remember Lemmy said being black and gay in Georgia in the '50's -

-you can't get more punk rock than that...

Little Richard had massive courage and balls and belief in himself, and he is acknowledging that. (and even Jerry Lee Lewis' own mother told Jerry Lee that LR was the king of R&R, and JLL agreed) Like all people of quality he pays his respects, because he HAS respect.

  • Lenny is the man, he knows his music, best believe that.

  • OZZY with Sabbath is GREAT ! But somewhere along the way (Sharoh aka Yoko) OZZY lost his way. Just a puppet now, Geezer, Tony, Bill, still relevant. But Lemmy, NEVER sold out ! HE IS THE MAN ! Much respect !

  • "'Cuz he's the best!"

Can't fucking argue with that. Disagree and he'll overkill you with headbutts!! Lemmy is GOD!

  • is that lady gaga 0:45 in the background ??? The irony...

  • @rockeer

No that is not her. For christsakes its just some broad with bleached hair.

And who would give a shit if it was.

  • Lemmy has always said that tMotorhead are a rock and roll band so many times and people still want to categorise them as metal. If you all revere him so much LISTEN TO WHAT HE SAYS PEOPLE

  • Lemmy = GOD. That is all I have to say.

  • Comment removed

  • chuck berry is the king of rocknroll .. not that fat elvis !!

  • come the fuck on are you gay ???

  • Way to go, Lemmy! Score one for rock n' roll

  • oh yeah you are right, man!!!!!!

LEMMY IS THE GODFATHER OF HEAVY METAL!!!

    He is always right!

  • Lemmy is God.

  • yeah why isn't lemmy himself a golden god, he has affected metal and hard rock as much as little richard affected rock n roll

  • lemmy is the golden god lifetime achiever at the 2010 gga HELLYEAH!!!!

  • well its about time!

  • i love lemmy! but who tha hell is this hot blond bitch behind lemmy at 0:43? holy shit.

  • don't find her hot at all ... little over maked up blondie ... plenty around of them ...

  • Not to be insulting, but only the simpler minded ones can't dig that stuff. Some people just let the music smack 'em upside the head, and that's fine, but if you really get into it you're gonna wanna hear where it came from. Not knowing the roots is why the newer bands generally aren't as good as Motorhead.

  • Strangely, there is a similarity between Little Richards piano style and Lemmies bass playing. Just imagine them together playing Lucille - that would be awesome!

  • Maybe it could be one f the most awasome performances of rock and roll.

  • Lemmy speaks the truth and you know it.

  • not a very long interview^^

  • If you listen to some songs motorhead does you can hear some of the fiftys influence in the songs. Im sure he is a huge 50-60's fan. Thats another thing I appreciate about motorheads music alot.

  • @Eminence57 he is porn 1945!

  • If Lemmy says Little Richard should have an award thats good enough for me. Lemmy knows what he is talking about, the man is a fucking legend!

  • @Punorss What do you know about Littel R.?

    Poser!

  • Well lets see...He was around at the advent of Rock N Roll and was one of the very fist people to play that style of music. He was a bit of a wild child and did for piano what Jimi Hendrix did for electric guitar. In fact Jimi played for Little Richard in his backing band in the 60's. Will that do you GOB SHITE of should I type some more?

  • wow

i never thought i could like lemmy any more than i already do.

but this makes him like... the pure and raw embodiment of awesome

  • WOHOO!! Motorhead FTFW !!!! for the fucking win* u know... Motorhead is rellay spelled: Mot(ö)rhead =)

  • Lemmy is 60+ years old and most of the fans of metal really cannot relate to people like Little Richard. Its just not part of their world. You really cannot blame them. In a traditional sense, Lemmy is right.

  • @nickwarhead Oh, the irony....ALL popular music, including "metal" traces back to blues/rhythm and blues, taken straight off of records by Little Richard, Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, etc, etc. Whether you're aware of it or not is another matter. Motorhead's entire catalog is based on r&b and blues riffs. During the 50s and 60s, the brits and elvis gave black music a new image and sound. Young white kids ate it right up. Do you actually think that metal bands invented those riffs?

  • well did you get that rockers!!!!!! little richard so there

  • @nickwarhead Not really am bassist singer for a thrash metal band and we all love motorhead play some of his awsome songs and Respect Little Richard !

  • Once again we get this annoying stupid American voiceover!

  • Funny how Motorhead are english.....but all the vids seem to be american.

  • Well Lemmy was born in England (but grew up in Wales), Phil Campbell is Welsh and Mikky Dee is Swedish/Greek.

  • youre stupid and annoying

  • I expect it's a clip from an American show. Why wouldn't it have an American presenter?

  • When you get into rock you think whoevers big at the time is the shit. Then when you look into the roots you realise that nothing matches the originals. Not that there isnt good rock around though.... or i wouldnt be checking out Motorhead videos!

  • When you look back to the 50's the three solo big ones were.

Fats Domino, Elvis, and Little Richard.

  • @craniuman

and Jerry Lee ? big joe turner?Buddy Holly?Gene Vincent?

  • no he's not

    you're an idiot

  • Wow. I was just listening to 'Going To Brazil' a few minutes ago before finding this clip... You can really hear the Little Richard influences there - not just that it's old style rock n' roll, but the whole SPIRIT of the number.

  • The real king is CHUCK BERRY!

  • That's Right ! ! But too many people have forgotten that fuckin fact !

  • little richard is the real king of rock'n'roll

  • i respect his opinion

  • Interesting...

  • I'm glad he hasn't forgot 50's rock n roll...like Chuck berry and other blues singers...I love metal, and could n't stop listening to the blues.

  • yeah they grew up on that stuff. they looked up to it.

  • People it does not matter who started it, lets just appreciate that someone did.

Music should unite all and break down the barriers of culture enjoy.

  • ...Whats up with all the Crackers and Niggers fighting over nothing for? LMFAO! calm down and enjoy the fuckin interview

  • Your right, when Blues and C&W came gether to get married in the 50's by a jewish guy named Alen freed...it was marriage. What happened to that marriage.lol

  • Crackers get really pissed off when they realize that the father of rock n' roll was a black dude and not elvis

  • lemmy is not one of those manufactured rockers, he is definitely the real deal. little richard hands down is the god of rock and roll chuck berry is the jesus and muddy waters is the holy ghost..you rule lemmy!!!

  • THANK YOU LEMMY for saying LITTLE RICHARD MANY WHITE PEOPLE FORGET BLACK GUY'S STARTED ROCK N ROLL

  • Elvis, Buddy Holly and Jerry Lee Lewis might have something to add to that comment.

  • Chuck Berry had more to do with it than elvis

  • Yes he did !

  • Elvis,Buddy Holly and Jerry kee lewis were good singers, but they created Rocabilly on sun.Rocabilly is different from the rock n roll in the early ,and late 40's.

  • shut up ignorant fool,

there would be no electric guitar without the blues

  • they started blues which fucking started rock and roll you dumb twat, little richard who, if you dont know, is black AND gay, started rock and roll. how do you like that you stupid twat. ozzy did NOT start rock and roll.

  • isnt he the only one that started rock n roll that is proven gay? not sure but yes man you are right ozzy didnt start rock he didnt even start metal

  • Who the hell would think that John Osbourne started Rock and Roll ? They must have been born in the early 90's or there abouts. Sadly, this is what comes out of our universities these days........

  • Rock 'n Roll wouldn't exist if it weren't for guys like B.B. King, Bo Diddley, T-Bone Walker, Robert Johnson and Chuck Berry. Rock 'n Roll would have gotten along just fine without Elvis and Buddy Holly.

Black people made Rock 'n Roll. That is the fact of the matter.

  • Rock n roll was bringing black and white people to gether in the 50's and 60's.That guy that made that racist comment reminds me of the KKK members that HATED rock n roll in the 50's.

  • Absolutely Fuckin A Right !

  • Yeah, you do realise that Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath was influenced by blues? And it was Black Sabbath that started metal dick head, not just Ozzy Fucking Tony Iommi practically invented the fucking genre not ozzy you fucking rascist shit.

  • I have a music degree, and I Play the guitar. The members of Black Sabbath were playing Blues, rock n roll before they were known....it's not hard to read music and it's influences when you play music. You have the right to be racist if it makes you happy hersheykissnips, but learn history, guitar, and reading music before you make a comment.

  • dude i wasnt trying to be rascist! im not at all,im saying that tony iommi was influenced by the blues and that the blues music is whatt sarted it all, some guy said that black people never had an influence on metal and blues and that was my response cause tht was suc a ridiculous thing to say, sorry if i came across as rascist .

  • I understand dude, we are cool. You didn't come across racist I understand your comment, and you are right.

  • awesome, still sorry if i came across like a fucking rascist spasbag like that fucking joeaurium dickhead

  • Randy wasn't a racist like you remember that....anyone that listen to American roots music knows Rock n roll from in the 50's was blues, jump blues, boogie woogie, and the different kinds of C&W.I like the Blues plus i'm in A metal band and i'm white get... over racist.

  • OKAY NOW. I was chilling from leaving replies but your punk ass HAD to pull out the fucking racist card.

Anyone that does not agree with you HAS to be racist. Motherfucker.

Someone said even Iommi was influenced heavily by blues and NOT classical?! Fucking retard that said that doesn't know his fucking shit, go back and listen to Iommi playing solos, his own ideas back in the day. THEY WERE ALL CLASSICAL NOT BLUES

Fucking retarded cuntfucks, go do yourself a favor and kill yourself

  • You hear blues more then classical in his music.Classical is ok,but blues has more feeling then classical. You hear Blues ,and Classical in metal mixed together....get over it OK!If your racist then it's a waste of time talking to you even with my music degree.

  • HAHAHAH wow!! That's like what .. 10 comments of you now trying to call everyone racist even though you're white?

If you do not agree with oramikleepunk apparently you are racist.

oramikleepunk does not know you but he will call you racist anyways! hahah

  • if you ever happened to see a documentary called Metal a headbangers journey there is an interview with tony ioomi where he says he was "heavily ifluenced by blues music" as was the rest of black sabbath and other bands at the time,if it wasnt for bles music we wouldnt have rock and metal as we know it today

  • kudos to Lemmy for recognizing the classics!!

  • Hehehe go Lemmy.. "Cause he's the best."

  • Motorhead has always and will always be the Shit
