  • Long hair obviously

  • The coolest man ever. When I was 24 and had long I wanted to dye my hair the same colour as Sam had back in Tombstone...my hair dresser talked me out it...probably for the best

  • If I was a woman....

  • this man needs to star in a western before he departs this earth. come ON

  • Coolest voice ever. He sounds like he could kick anyone's ass, haha

  • Avoid becoming type-casted. Unless it's by the Coen Brothers! Then take what you can get.

  • I'd give a lot to look like Sam

  • Dude i like your style

  • both top comments are so true!

  • mmmm... Greasy old gray hair. How sexy

  • About 10 or so years ago, I met this guy who I kept telling him that he had the same voice as in the 'beef, it's what's for dinner' commercials.Didn't know at the time that it was Sam Elliot voicing those commercials.I now know how lucky he is,because I didn't realize til somewhat recently that it seems like countless guys have a total man-crush on Sam Elliot. He really, really sounded identical to him! Sam Elliot is the ultimate cowboy! He was cool in Tombstone

  • Hulk Hogan if ever he lost ALL of his muscle mass.

  • Roadhouse!

  • The Ultimate Western actor aside from Clint Eastwwood I guess.

  • This man can make a million movies, voice in 100 games, and whatever else he wants to do. Either way, I'll still remember him most for his Westerns. Including Landon Ricketts.

  • Banquet Beeeer

  • silky smooth butter bass

  • We love you Sam!!

  • Absolute gent

  • So HE'S the one that the Boss keeps talking about.....

  • Can we hurry and please make Metal Gear Solid and cast Sam Elliot as Revolver Ocelot before he leaves the planet????????

  • watching videos then I see Landon Rickets haha.

  • Shalashaska

  • Buford!

  • I'm goona take my Ram Charger to Colorado and harvest some of that best high country barely!

  • Sam born in Sacramento, California. Why he speaks like a hillbilly cowboy?

  • Sam Elliott could spend two hours reading recipes out of a cookbook and I would still listen happily and watch too! :)

  • Landon Ricketts?

  • Sam's a great narrator, too. My ex-father-in-law sounds nearly exactly like him. He grew up in Oklahoma/Eastern Louisiana and has that thick southern drawl with a voice as deep as James Earl Jones.

Too bad the guy was a bastard. LOL.

  • EPECEST MUSTASH EVER!!!

  • Revolver Ocelot.

  • I thought his moustache was fake in TBL. Seems not!

  • Jeff Bridges: "Well, the dude abides!"

Sam Elliot: "The dude abides...I like that!"

  • my wife has always said she'd love to be with sam. the weird thing is I don't blame her!

  • One of the greats without doubt one of the best.

  • He's probably the best.

  • REVOLVER OCELOT COME TO LIFE

  • Landon feckin' Ricketts!

  • Revolver Ocelot!!!!!!!!

  • He's senile.

  • gil scott heron has a better voice

  • He has a very Upper Midwest attitude. Really, I get tired of people bugging on "Minnesota Nice" when it is not really passive aggressive, It is just humble. He is a humble and very sexy man. When my mother and I agree on what is sexy, Yah, you betcha, he IS sexy!

  • You're pretty good

  • Six bullets, more than enough to kill anything that moves.

  • Kojima needs to cast him as Revolver Ocelot already.

  • that voice makes me moist.

  • @TheGrimReeferrr Wait.. aren't you a dude?

  • He is like a real-life Landon Ricketts!

  • He reminds me of a character called Landon Ricketts in a video game called Red Dead Redemption, that character might be based on this actor it seems.

  • The Big Lebowski kicked butt! This movie was funny and Sam was a big part of the movie. Classic!

  • Great as Virgil Earp.

  • i luv sam elliott he's so hot!

  • Revolver ossalot!!!!!!!!!

  • NUMBER ONE SEXIST MAN . LOVE HIM.

  • Landon Ricketts

  • I think Harrison Ford's trying to look like him in "Cowboys and Aliens"...

  • I wish I had Sam's voice

  • i wanna coors beer now

  • Hulk Hogan without the steroids...

  • Check Joaquín Cortez. He is the real vamp according to wikipedia.

  • am i the only one thinking 'revolver ocelot'?

  • @uncompromising34

    no you'tr sure not

  • My three favourite Sam Elliot characters: Gar in Mask, Brigadier Gen. John Buford in Gettysburg, and Bill Tilghman —the last of the Wild West lawmen— in You Know My Name.

  • He was on Mission Impossible years ago -for one season I think . He was such a macho pretty boy then .

  • who?

  • Sam Elliott is one of my favourite actors. You don't notice an actor like this until one day, years down the line, you suddenly see him in one really good film and discover the man and then discover he's built up a whole canon of good films and performances over the years, such as in Mask or You Know My Name. He just plays great characters and is a natural for westerns.

  • @LordZontar I don't know about you, but I take comfort in that.

  • he looks like Jake the Snake from WWE.

  • Sam Elliott, takin' 'er easy fer the rest of us.

  • My god that voice is epic. I wish I could sit down with mr Elliott and have some whiskey and listen him speaking. That voice is so perfect it brings tears to my eyes.

  • this guy is my dads spitting image without the ponytail lol no joke

  • okay.....DRAW!!!!

  • now ill show you why they call me....Revolver

  • Don't even think about using auto-fire, or I'll know!

  • OCELOT?!?!?!?!!!!!!!

  • I love Sam Elliott.

  • He would make a good ocelot aesthetically, but I don't know if his voice could be as sinister as Ocelot's, his voice is too wise sounding.

  • rarely are youtube comments this full of win.

  • BROTHER THIS IS THE LIBERTY WEVE FOUGHT FOR... OUTER HAVEN

  • SNAAAAAAAAKE

  • Shalashaska!

  • YOU'RE PRETTY GOOD!

  • I love the smell of cordite

  • OCELOOOOOOOOOOOOOT

  • Isnť He original Marlboro Man?

  • i just dropped in, to see what condition his condition was in.

  • You are now reading this comment and any subsequent ones in Sam Elliott's voice

  • Sometimes..there's a man.

  • @offthahook8 That was such an awesome way of saying, "Sam Elliott can make anything, no matter how cheesy or otherwise terrible, sound good."

  • @offthahook8 That was such an awesome way of saying, "Sam Elliott can make anything, no matter how meaningless, corny, or otherwise terrible, sound epic."

  • @offthahook8 Well, sometimes, theres a man....

  • Comment removed

  • I would kill for that voice hehehehe

  • @oliveriosteinn - dude, if i could choose one voice other than my own to have, it would be his. no doubt, i hear ya.

  • i always loved sam elliot, why do we not see him that often.

  • who's had their ass kissed more times...... elliott or depp ??? ponder amongst

  • sexiest voice in movies great guy

  • this man's got "Western" written all over him.

    such a cool actor.

  • Excellent Actor !

  • coolest voice....

  • Landon Ricketts in real life?

  • He kind of looks like the "rent is too damn high" guy that ran for Gov. in New York....he's still the man esp. as Virgil Earp!!!

  • What a voice!

  • howdie doo dude

  • As a southerner, I would like to know where this Californian got a southern accent. It's very nice, I just wonder where he got it - simply good judgement on his part? :-) He should give these insufferable, twanging, jack-jawed Valley-girl wannabe types (Reese Witherspoon, the self-hating, fake Yankee and her babyfied, fake yankee twanging ilk) lessons on being taken seriously as an adult.

  • @stellalouise1 People with southern accents cannot be taken seriously as adults. That is why there are so many workshops and self improvement programs geared towards helping people with southern accents to overcome their handicap by acquiring the standard American dialect.

  • @TheHerpaderpderp "People with southern accents cannot be taken seriously as adults"....well then, poor Sam needs to be sent to a workshop to make him sound like you. When are you going to break the news to him?

  • @TheHerpaderpderp That's a shame, because the death of American regional speech is a great tragedy, the result of generations of tyranny of the dominant culture through mass media. It's doubly tragic since there's clearly such a much greater need for programs aimed at exposing and healing or eradicating those psychological wounds and/or character defects and personality flaws which, chillingly, even today find expression in repugnant bigotry such as yours. It is such a very ugly thing to see.

  • @jum1801 You must have failed out of your workshop and come up with this elaborate justification to explain why cannot acquire the Standard American Dialect.

  • @TheHerpaderpderp Think about changing. I don't mean what you can't help: being gay is nothing to be ashamed of; even your obesity, which is likely related to (& as much genetically caused as) your mental disability. These are tough issues & are likely the source of the rage which has resulted in your social isolation & total immersion into online role-playing games.

But none of this excuses you being mean & hurtful to those who are "different". You of anyone should know how much that hurts.

  • @jum1801 A classic display of projection. Not only are you a redneck, but you are also a basement dwelling neck beard hanging on my every word. I give you a 3 out of 10 for that retort. Try again and see if I give you a higher score.

  • @TheHerpaderpderp Oh man, c'mon. Please, stop. This is just downright painful. It's like you're channeling Peewee Herman - "I know you are but what am I?"

I'm begging you: don't humiliate yourself any more. Just give it up while your dignity is only in tatters & can still be repaired...more or less. Find a nice, soft Justin Bieber fanpage. You can slowly work back in, no pressure, make a 6th-grader cry now & then, ease back into shape.

    Baby steps, man; baby steps...

  • @jum1801 2/10. Keep trying. You might say something clever. Try to spend two days instead of one coming up with an insult. The more clever they are the more points you will get. Impress me.

  • A real man's man right here. Very masculine and paternal.

  • his voice is awesome.

  • Revolver Ocelot?

  • the most perfect person God ever created! The perfect voice, the perfect body, the perfect smile, even in the later years.

  • @formernchick God? Jesus fucking christ. I bet his parents were just hot. That's all.

  • I loved this guy as General Buford in Gettysburg. That is one great war film.

  • how did he become so legendary ? How did young sam elliot become like this?

  • Sam Elliott is my standard of a man. That voice, that smile, that charm, and earthy machismo is what every man needs.

  • This guy was perfect for the role "THE GRID" this man is a real western actor.

  • That is Thomdrill Merrilin! No doubt!

  • revolver ocelot

    google it!

  • how do i get a voice like that lol. one of my favorite actors haha

  • @humm1na Your voice often becomes deeper and 'lower' with age. For some it happens in very small changes and for some it completly changes. That or......alot of scotch and cigars, like a real man! :)

  • damn sam elliott is STILL hot!!!!!! that voice makes me cream every time!!!!! katherine ross is one lucky broad lol!

  • Revolver Ocelot !

  • @SleepingHog amazing

  • the only lifeguard you want saving your wife or girlfriend - At least then you know you'll always be second best!

  • @redgrapeskins i just saw the lifeguard recently. I vaguely remember seeing it in high school. OMG! Only thing better than having Sam Elliot in a movie is Sam Elliot and Tom Selleck…yum!

  • MY son met MR.Elliott and Did him A favor he said he was A real stand up guy .

  • This guy is the real deal. end of story.

  • Sometimes there's a man...

  • I would put the OTHER film down as RoadHouse that holds fond memories, and I cannot erase from my mind the phrase "BEEF, it's what's for dinner"! Honest to God, Sam!

  • Every time Sam Elliott tries to shave...his moustache cuts his razor. With a knife.

Chuck Norris' moustache pisses itself over the sight of Sam Elliott's glorious and god-like facial pubes.

  • Sam Elliott's mustache is the pinnacle of manliness.

Sam Elliott's voice came a close second.
