I'll just end up sending my kid(s) to a private school. I just don't know if I'd have enough time for and faith in the practical application of unschooling. There is no doubt the stuff you will retain and are passionate about will also be that which you self-motivated yourself to learn. Most people will concede that to you. Maybe if I marry a polymath like myself whom wants as the highest priority to not work and personally teach our kid(s) will I go along with the idea.

If you are leaning towards unschooling but concerned about not having the time/energy to provide your kids with resources and are considering private school, you might want to check out Sudbury schools when the time comes.

I believe much of the unschooling rhetoric because I am an enormous autodidact. I have learned so much on a wealth of topics and have an insatiable hunger for philosophic and scientific knowledge and theory. So, I think it's believable that kids will be self-motivated. I don't want to indoctrinate them, but I want to make sure they have resources and some assistance.
learn as efficiently as possible? What, they just pull everything off the internet? I guess you could order college textbooks on topics they're interested in but most require a background in basic to advanced math if it is a scientific topic. They have to learn at least one language to read it. You want them to be socially aware to a degree. I firmly believe at least a brief introduction to team sports is extremely beneficial. If they like it, great; continue funding it. If they don't,
I watched her video and agreed with much of her presentation, however, her misgivings on Capitalism were unfounded and symptomatic of someone who hasn't sincerely investigated economic theory.
I personally won't send my kid(s) to a public school, but I haven't completely made my mind up yet on this no institution scenario. I'll almost always be at work while the wife might be at home for a portion of their childhood, but even if she's present, how will the kids get the necessary resources to
