Sorry Chilli Chomper im no assassin, about 60m from what i recall... free standing with small targets.. most people wouldn't 'key hole' at that distance.. any who not a member of crescent moon... scope is still a bit from my eye, the cap makes it look deceiving. Cheers
@zs7iey im guessing he bought the combo gun. It comes pre mounted and ready to shoot. If i was you i would go to marlin firearms and call the company for mounts, or look at a bass pro or cabelas

hey where did you buy your scope mounts, and what brand are they?
i have the same model 336 and I am in the market for scope mounts that fit a 9x Bushnell Sportview scope onto the Marlin. thanks

@zs7iey I got scope mounts from Cheaper Than Dirt for my 336. They fit well and actually allow me to see through and use the iron sights if I want.
