  • Theres no such thing as a Gay Mormon.

  • Gay Mormon??? makes as much sense as Christian pornography or round squares.

  • so, frank swank is a gay mormon? thats a paradox, really. If he's openly admitting being gay, I think that would constitute not living the precepts of the LDS Church. So saying that there's a gay mormon advocating gay marriage is really just retarded.

  • What they are after is acceptance of their immorality. I am sick of political correctness, it is wrong plain and simple.

  • Gays don't really care about that though, it's a 'me' mentality, wanting what they want, now, by any means necisary, without reguard to any other reaction it has in any other comunity or political effect, using umbrella terms, bullying, and propaganda to enact emotional bribery and/or hatred upon other people.

  • If these people who protesting are claiming that its is unfair for the homosexuals, then why are they only protesting against the Mormons? Have not the Catholics, Protestants, Blacks, Hispanics also voted for the passing of the proposition 8? But they do not protest in the cathedrals, protestants' church, to the Hispanics, & Blacks. They have also leaders who encouraged them to vote. That is what you call UNFAIR. period.

  • The reporter said, "Catholic and Evangelical churches have been subject to similar protests."

  • The church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. I love the gospel. I love everybody. Peace and love! Violence won't get us anywhere good and u all know it!

  • If the Mormon church has no problem with domestic partnerships, why did they fight them? How about they help the gays get domestic partnerships in Utah. Why don't they put their money where their mouth is. THEY ARE LIARS. And yes they do persecute gays. Have you ever heard of electroshock therapy?

  • Not only that, your trying to push it as a fundamental right into federal law. Even regular marriage doesn't go that far. Is it still equal then? What is it the gay community is after, because they can get the same rights as marriage under California law under domestic partneship without redefining marriage for everyone.

  • So where is the right to marry stated? Not even in the US Constitution. So for all you claiming prop 8 is taking away your right... you don't even have the right to begin with. Just curious, when are the hate rallies and protests against Blacks and Hispanics going to be organized since they voted overwhelmingly in favor of prop 8?

  • hmmm how many mormons are in California?? Who exactly voted??

  • thats the thing that perpelexed me...there is only 250k mormons in Cali about but there's like millions of gays and gay supporters so idk how that worked

  • good point

  • let's all protest at the Mormon temples.

    wooo...wooo....no on prop 8!

  • how do you protest the mormon temple it's only for members..... so anyhoots YES ON 8

  • Let's see, the church is fine with gay people having some rights, but not all the rights afforded to all americans. Umm, that's the definition of bigotry.

  • i think it's just the whole thing about marriage being between a man and a woman. If you want to argue it should be between two people who love each other weither they be heterosexal or homosexual the why stop there... next there gonna want marriage between a uncle and his niece or a man and his cousin...shit they love each other let them have marriage... see the point

  • @sekytwo if gays want it legal, then lets call this "union" between gay couples a "civil union". that way its not "gay marriage". they can then get all the perks heterosexual married couples do. sounds good to me.
