  • AMEN!!! bb wolfe

  • I find this qoute from Lao-tzu very relivant...

    The words of the sage say:

    To take on yourself the disgrace of the state-

    -this is called being the lord of the altars of earth and grain;

    To assume responsibility for all ill-omened events in the state-this is called being the king of the world.

    Correct words seem to say the reverse of what you expect them to say.

  • "this one always scares me good, night of the living dead." wonderful lyric. walk around most american campuses or malls, and this is what it feels like. "18 wheels on cruise control" is another perfect metaphor for america, sung in this video from one of our few remaining patches of wilderness. doug rice is not only an american troubador, but an american shaman. if the house of cards is indeed falling, we can at least find solace in encountering art like this as a byproduct.

  • Very cool neil young Buffalo Springfield vibe, classic musicianship, not everyone can pull this style off CORRECTLY, congrats Doug and brother, the message hits home for sure.

  • Wake Up people... They're doing it to us again--

    If you're not outragged, you're not paying attention. This video and song should send a message to every American..

  • This sounds like it came right out of the 60's and seventy's.

    It really makes you think about what lessons we thought we had learned back then. How many times are we going to let the government get away with running this country without any acountabliltiy. rrhut was right, this protest song should have been taken to heart a long time ago.

  • I had forgotten just how beautiful Nixon was to watch. Remember when Bob Dole cried over his grave? What an idiot! That's a grave to dance on, Bob.

    good stuff. Real hard drivin', serious music.

  • Who says all the 60's protest songs were written in the 60's?But, I guess to write a "haunting" tune like this, you have to wait for the demise of the main character. Shoulda' been done long ago!

  • the past returns to haunt us, again and again . . .

    good work boys!

    cp
