Just like the example in the video, using 2x converter reduce the quality and loss of light. Will adjusting the ISO compensate for the reduce quality?
cool but what about the macro photography aspect. will i be able to take close sharp photos? i have a 210mm tamron lens and i am using canon ae-1 35mm cam and was wondering if 2x teleconverter is right for me.
For macro photography an extension tube would be a better option. Extension tubes change the minimun focus distance and not the focal distance. The next video will go into detail about extension tubes.
The effective f/D increases, yes, but not because of the increased distance between the lens and the body. The effective focal length f has increased and the real aperture size D has stayed the same. Or if you like, the teleconverter is enlarging the central part of image formed by the lens, and the lost light is that part of the image that is not used.
True, we have tried to explain the result of using teleconverters. It is true that the actual f stop on the lens hasn't changed, but the result of losing light is equivalent to having stopped down an equivalent lens without a teleconverter.
thank you

I suggest you listen to the video carefully. It gives the distance explanation.
