Carendo and RealAir especially have some more acurate flying models of airplanes.

The flight model for realair was actually made by a fligh school in Australia, and its Cessna does some of the maneuvers impossible in a default MSFS Cessna, including spins and slips.
Sure you can descent at more than 1800 fpm, just do a slip. You won't even pick up that much speed. Although you need a Carenado or RealAir Cessna to be able to do it in FS.
As far as John, he got the plane down, that is all that matters sometimes.
There's always pointers from actual pilots, but this is FS after all.
Hey ! - it's a mission in FSX i just though wtf at the first time, but then i turned around and landed perfectly on the runway you may just have passed..
Thanks Robert. No error in flight sim. It's a task or mission to test your pilots skills. I was a little high on approach, better than too low heh heh.
Are you flying the tailwheel? If so that would be a reason you spin in circles after landing. This video shows a "training wheel" plane that will not do that. If you choose the 172 or 182 like the OP then it will be easier.
u came in WAY TOO HIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep them to yourself.
It's only Youtube. It's only Flight Sim.
Not everyone is INCREDIBLY GOOD like you, we all have to start somewhere.
Just remember you were a newbie once too.
Besides, he got the plane on the ground.

Hey, is a joystick really needed to play this? I remember combat flight simulator 3 wasn't so bad with keyboard only.

A couple points. First, you want to slip on final when you are that high. Second, you should S turn to avoid coming up too high as well.

im using the same plane
hardtrucker18 3 years ago
No not spinning in circles. The aircraft is a Cessna 172. I was using my remaining momentum to clear the runway.
albanyjohn 2 years ago
Why does the prop stop? Must be an error in the simulator.
RobertGary1 4 years ago
I get the same issue on occasion: FS2004, Saitek yoke/throttle. I jiggle the mix and it's all good, but if it's turbo, you gotta respool.

Nice Sarajevo-style approach. Good call not extending the glide over the ridge: Odds were completely against it.
