I remember this scene from when I first saw it. This one is definitely one of my favs. I just remember that by the end of the scene I was in tears right with her.

Don't know that much about Zander. What was so bad about him that the Q's wanted to send Em away? A little over the top, wouldn't ya say?

he kidnapped her at gunpoint...and was thought to have murdered a cop, but Em wouldn't give up on him! Sorrel, a mob kingpin in Port Charles at that time, targeted Zander because he was going to turn state's evidence to avoid jail time. because Emily is Jason's sister, and her being associated w/Zander, it made her a prime target for Sorrel.

On top of what myseri24 said, Zander was a drug dealer and of course Emily had a history with drugs, and the week prior Emily had been with Zander when Sorel's gunmen ambushed them along with Alexis and Sonny (Sonny nearly died). I think the Qs were just in their objection, but considering all of their Jason slurpage, there was a lot of hypocrisy as well.

Because she was seeing Zander who they considered too dangerous for her to be around. I think it was also because they didn't want to lose Emily to the Mob world like they lost Jason.
