5nallyg0d , you say EVOs "can't hang with subies?" google "EVO VS sti shootout" EVOS stock vs sti stock and modded vs. modded the EVOS dominate. Both STI and EVO are great cars, but even stock, the EVOs, despite being 150 lbs more, are faster around a track, pull higher GS, handle better, are faster to 60, and brake shorter. The numbers are close, and I am glad you enjoy your ride and are pulling some good numbers, but to claim that EVOs can't hang with Subies is simply FALSE. ;)

THE EVO X is faster around and track or road course, is faster to 60, breaks shorter, LOOKS much better, will never be ocnfused with a Mazda family wagon, has a more advanced AWD system (S-AWC with yaw control) wind tested aero parts, and has RECAROs. Heck, the MR comes with the six speed dual clutch SST which shifts faster than humans can. The 2010 MR Touring with leather heated RECAROS was tested by Road and Track (11.09) to hit 0-60 in 4.6 seconds, with moonroof and leather EVO all day.

don't get me wrong. all evo's are great, but if it's not MR then you'd lose alot more in top end. worth the money? if you can afford one. I decided to get a wrx instead and i'm doing about 380whp right now. Evo's has been my dream car but they really can't hang with subies. I raced this one dudes evo stock (catback, bov) and mine stock (catback, bov) and I pulled him. basically, if it's stock, it's slow, that's why MR is the way to go. they did better tweeking into the MR.
