  • berto v ortiz both men down like 4 times already and we r on rd 7 this is fight of the year candidate ortiz ahead by 2 points but getin somewhat tired ill post the fight here when its over

  • i think your selling ortiz a little short stylewise i see a similar style matchup to miguel cotto vs shane mosley

  • disagree man..i think ortiz is going to make it close and maybe win...and mccloskey will go deep with khan..its gonna be late tko for khan..or mccloskey goes the distance...or mccloskey by ko......mccloskey is not getting a decision though

  • @KingFinger69 If you're right I'm definitely giving you credit for calling upsets in both.

  • I think you might be sleeping on Ortiz, I think he will knock Berto out cold pretty early. I think the stigma of quitter has gotten to Ortiz where he wont ever quite again and people who seen Berto spar have seen him go down from many weaker shots than from Victor. Just my 2 cents

  • @duclacrotch I hope you're right but considering Victor couldn't finish a smaller, hurt Peterson in his previos fight I don't see him stopping Berto.

  • @916Chris

Almost happened huh? But Victor showed that he was never gonna quit, he took some massive MASSIVE shots from berto and kept coming. I got salido too after seeing Juan Ma looking round as a basketball and then hearing about all his personal problems. Bodog owes me some money man, great day. The only underdog I didn't take was McCloskey, I wonder how anyone could see his fights and think that Paul would have a chance is beyond me.

  • path of least resistance sums up berto for me, too. he's got skills, but let's test 'em!

funny thing is i'm more excited about this fight than any other one out there, short of mayweather vs. pacquiao. i don't know why. i hope it turns out a good one, but we'll see.

i was on the fence as to who would win but you convinced me. we'll see.

  • @maskedmillionaire I'm surprised you're more excited for this than either of next weekends bantam bouts or Froch vs Johnson which is the one I'm looking forward to the most.

  • @916Chris yeah, it's weird. i've been critical of berto (for the haiti thing--i think it was a convenient way to duck a big fight) and oritz (he quit and showed he lacks moxie). just my opinions, of course. nonetheless, this fight intrigues me. there's a certain soap opera feel to it that's drawing me in. hopefully it doesn't disappoint!

also, Froch is going to clean up against Johnson as much as i hate to admit it.

  • Jesus dude, if you're uninformed about fighters involved in fights you're predicting, don't embarass yourself by covering them. Sky PPV ditched the Khan McCloskey fight because the undercard completely fell apart. Do some research man, don't just assume reasons, it's very sloppy analysis. McCloskey doesn't have a loss and holds the European light-welterweight belt, ranked No 5 in world. So what leads you to assume this is a 'non-competitive' fight is obviously just lack of basic facts...

  • @5446mick My bad and you're right for the most part. That said, Khan, easy.

  • Man you should do your research on mcloskey, despite he hasnt fought any top guys yet, he is class boxer - the only difference here maybe is khans hand speed and i m calling an upset. Mcloskey was agreat ameteur, has never lost and he is one of the best counterpunchers around euope - look him up.

  • @chadmichaels19 Thanks for the info, curious to see how he does after seeing you pick the upset.

  • Lopez fight will be good to watch but I see Lopez out punching him and stopping him.

Paul is a decent fighter, he does keep him hands down and likes to counter punch but he does not have the reflexes to keep his hands down against Khan, Paul has not got a big punch but he does get better later in a fight but I see Khan being to quick, to slick to fast for Paul and will stop him, our get a UD. I can't count out Ortiz but I got to go with Berto, WTF is the point of having it at 146lb.

  • @MrFNWO1 The only answer I can think of for having it at 146 is because they can. Not the best answer but either is the decision to do so.

  • sky did want the khan fight on ppv but because the undercard fell apart they said its not worth ppv anymore and also sky said they do not want khan to fight bradley next and they would not show it on sky sports or ppv so thats why khan has left sky and joined primetime tv because he wants the bradley fight next and announced thees reasons to the media and public in the uk, also mcloskey is unbeaten and is a dangerous guy , he could hang with most the 140 weight class

  • @smiddyism Thanks for the info on both my friend.

  • I'm totally frontrunning and going with all the favorites. Khan & JuanMa are obvious choices & off hand I don't recall anyone on record picking against them.

Ortiz-Berto is a tough choice but I'm leaning towards Berto. I actually think overall Ortiz is a little more technically sound & does pack enough clout to stop Berto, especially early. But if it turns into a rough and tough fight, his mental make up concerns me. I think the longer it goes, the more Berto will impose his stronger will.

  • @scorpio11477 It goes without saying that I agree with your picks.
