  • The place was on a bigger site than the original Disneyworld. Yes, animal welfare wasn't great, but it wasn't anywhere back then. People welfare wasn't too great either! It was magical to me as a kid.

Recall going to the fireworks after stock cars/speedway and it was bits and pieces to the skeletons as well!

Always had a smell of dunginess!

  • The animals were treated badly, cant say it was a loss that this place closed.

  • How good is this footage, me second home when i was a kid

  • they closed this fantastic place down, built the showcase cinema and a few other places that to date have proberbley made a few hundred quid in 20 odd years.what a waste

  • Dem bones dem is dry bones and dats ge word of de law.

The firework display of a skeleton.

    Remember that !

  • what year were this.?

  • Found memories, thank you for posting this

  • Ruined just for greed

  • i used to go to bell vue when i was small

  • It was rundown as the land was required for the eventually unbuilt m67 motorway from the city centre to the m67 that was done. Have a look on google earth along Hyde road. It clearly shows how everything next to Hyde road was pulled down in preparation.

  • Brilliant footage.

I used to live just around the corner from here down Mount road.

Used to visit the Zoo, Circus, speedway and stock cars regulary.

    Such a shame it's gone.
